The journey to capture the drug kingpin in the border region of Nghe An.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, on June 7th, the Ky Son District Police successfully arrested Denh Cha Cong (born in 1975, residing in Nhot Kho village, Bac Ly commune), a suspect specializing in supplying drugs to addicts in the area.

Previously, police officers from Ky Son district discovered a criminal group in Bac Ly commune that had set up tents and carried firearms to organize the illegal trafficking of narcotics deep in the forest. They operated with extremely sophisticated and aggressive methods, ready to fiercely resist if discovered and surrounded by law enforcement.

Through investigative measures, the detectives identified the ringleader of this gang as "boss" Dềnh Chá Công (born in 1975), residing in Nhọt Kho village, Bắc Lý commune, Kỳ Sơn district.

While gathering documents and evidence, on April 16, 2019, the Ky Son District Police caught two suspects, Cut Van Hop (born in 1996), residing in Huoi Cang 1 village, and Cut Van Hoa (born in 1993), residing in Huoi Cang 2 village, Bac Ly commune, in the act of illegally possessing narcotics, seizing 0.25 grams of heroin. During questioning, the two suspects confessed to buying the drugs from Denh Cha Cong for personal use.

Based on the collected documents and evidence, along with the information above, and in order to concentrate forces and use a comprehensive range of operational measures to quickly dismantle this complex drug trafficking ring, the Ky Son District Police established a special investigation case.

With his cunning, shrewd, and shrewd nature, Dềnh Chá Công was highly vigilant. When he personally went to Laos to buy drugs and brought them back to his camp, if the customers were strangers, they had to go through a series of "screenings" using secret coded signals located about 3-4 km from Công's camp.

Only when they felt safe and confident did Cong's "guide" disciples sell drugs. Notably, Cong's camp was usually isolated and located about 300-600 meters away from his subordinates' camps. There was only one narrow, treacherous road leading to Cong and his accomplices' camp. Therefore, it was very difficult for outsiders to approach this "drug lord."

On June 6th, the Special Investigation Team received information that Dềnh Chá Công was preparing a large shipment of drugs to deliver to a familiar partner. Because the suspect was born and raised in the mountainous region, he was very familiar with the roads and routes, making him easy to hide or escape from, and very difficult to detect.

Therefore, the Special Investigation Team had to carefully and scientifically plan to ensure the absolute safety of the forces participating in the operation; at the same time, successfully arrest Dềnh Chá Công and dismantle this complex illegal drug trafficking ring.

Under the direct command of the Special Investigation Team's leadership (Kỳ Sơn District Police), all officers and soldiers of the General Investigation Team were divided into reconnaissance teams, conducting covert operations, ambushes, and raids at locations where Công might conduct drug transactions.

At approximately 00:30 on June 7th, while Dềnh Chá Công was conducting a drug transaction with a partner, the Special Investigation Team, taking advantage of their carelessness, raided the location, successfully apprehended Dềnh Chá Công, and seized 200 synthetic drug pills, 3 firearms (including 1 cabin rifle, 1 CKC rifle, and 1 muzzle-loading rifle), and 21 rounds of ammunition. Notably, one of the guns was already loaded.

Currently, the Investigation Police Department of Ky Son District is finalizing the case file to prosecute the suspect according to the law.
