The journey to dismantle a motorcycle theft ring that smuggled motorcycles into Cambodia for resale.
Upon his arrest, Le Cong Linh confessed that he had purchased motorcycles online and transported them to his home for safekeeping, waiting for an opportunity to sell them in Cambodia.
On November 24th, the leaders of the Dong Da District Police (Hanoi) announced that, following a property theft case in the area, they had investigated and identified individuals specializing in the large-scale sale of stolen vehicles.

According to the leaders of the Dong Da District Police, expanding the investigation into the theft and sale of property obtained through crimes committed by others in Kim Lien Ward (Dong Da District), the unit arrested Nguyen Thanh Son (born in 1994, residing in Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province) and Le Cong Linh (born in 1990, residing in Quang Binh Province).
Police determined that on the morning of September 29th, Bui Manh Hung (born in 2003, from Ha Nam province) stole a motorbike in alley 48 Van Tri, Minh Khai ward, Bac Tu Liem district. Hung sold the motorbike to Nguyen Huu Giap (born in 2004, from Phuc Tho district, Hanoi) and Le Thi Chi (born in 2005, from Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong) for 5.8 million VND. Giap then sold the motorbike to Nguyen Thanh Son for 6.9 million VND.

On the evening of September 30th, Son sold this car to Le Cong Linh for 8 million dong.
During the investigation, Nguyen Thanh Son confessed that he also bought a motorbike from Ma Thi Hang (born in 1998, in Tuyen Quang province) for 9 million VND and then sold it to Linh for 12 million VND.
During questioning at the investigative agency, Hang confessed that she had tricked Sin AQ (from Ha Giang province) into giving her this car in the Yen My district, Hung Yen province.
When summoned, Le Cong Linh confessed that after buying the car from Son, he resold it to unknown individuals to profit from the price difference.
During a search of Le Cong Linh's residence, investigators seized 72 motorcycles of various types that Linh had hidden in his house. Initially, Linh confessed that he had purchased these motorcycles from various sources on social media and then transported them to his home to hide, waiting for an opportunity to sell them in Cambodia.
Previously, on November 23, the Dong Da District Police (Hanoi) initiated a criminal case and indicted Bui Manh Hung (born in 2003, from Ha Nam province) for theft, and Pham Van Thuong (born in 1993) and Le Van Bac (born in 2005), both from Hai Phong city, for receiving stolen property.
