Following the incident, Xuan Bac posted a video thanking those who had shown concern for him and apologizing for wasting everyone's time. Xuan Bac did not specify the reason for withdrawing his application for the title of People's Artist, but instead asked for the opinions of some readers who affirmed that he deserved the recognition.
The male artist said:I'm withdrawing, that's all. It's as simple as that. But there's one thing that's not so simple, and it depends on the audience: please continue to support us – the artists and the artistic products we create.
Personally, I will certainly dedicate all my heart and energy to continuing to create works of art, to contribute to life with laughter and reflections, so that life becomes increasingly better.”
So, five years after voluntarily withdrawing his application for the title of People's Artist, Xuan Bac has officially received this prestigious title.
