Exciting extracurricular activities under the banyan tree

(Baonghean.vn) - NIn order to educate students about tradition, in the 2017-2018 school year, Khai Son Primary School (Anh Son) included in its extracurricular program the lesson under the Tri Le banyan tree.

Teacher Tran Van Coong - Principal of Khai Son Primary School said: Tri Le banyan tree not only provides shade and creates a beautiful scene for the countryside but is also a landmark, an important milestone of the countryside over time. In the 2017-2018 school year, in the extracurricular program, the school will organize for the whole school to visit and listen to explanations under the Tri Le banyan tree.

The Tri Le banyan tree is located in village 4, Khai Son commune (Anh Son), next to National Highway 7. It is over 400 years old, about 40 meters high, with a wide canopy and a trunk diameter of about 6 people. According to historical records, the Tri Le banyan tree was the place where the flag was planted and the contact point of communist soldiers during the revolutionary movement of 1930-1931. It is also a place associated with spiritual life, becoming a source of pride and a beautiful symbol of cultural value for many generations of people here.

More honorably and proudly, on December 28, 2015, the Tri Le banyan tree was recognized by the Vietnam Ornamental Plants Association as a Vietnamese Historical and Cultural Relic Tree.
