Harley-Davidson Road King 2017 with new generation engine

The American car company introduced a road car model using a new generation engine and upgraded suspension system.

The new Road King, one of the first four 2017 Harley-Davidson models to arrive in Vietnam. Compared to the previous generation, the 2017 Road King retains the same overall design. The notable change lies in the new generation engine called Milwaukee-Eight and the new suspension system.

Milwaukee-Eight - 9th generation Big Twin engine equipped on Touring and CVO models.

Milwaukee-Eight, the new 9th generation Big Twin engine is more powerful thanks to increased capacity, 10% more torque and a refined exhaust system for a new sound, according to Harley-Davidson.

The 2017 Touring model is equipped with a Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, V-Twin with a capacity of 1,745 cubic centimeters, combined with a 6-speed gearbox. The new generation engine dissipates heat better.

In addition to the engine, Harley-Davidson improved the front/rear suspension system. The American motorcycle company collaborated with Showa, which based on collected data from the driver to design a new suitable shock absorber model.

On the rear shock absorber, the rider can adjust the hydraulic preload with just the push of a button. The front shock absorber uses Showa SDBV technology inspired by racing cars.

Harley-Davidson first introduced the Milwaukee-Eight engine in August 2016 in Milwaukee (USA). The new generation of Big Twin engines is equipped on the Touring and CVO lines.

In Vietnam, Harley-Davidson Road King 2017 is priced from 1.1 billion VND.
