Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was first published in 1964, and is still one of the most beloved children's books of the 20th century. Roald Dahl's work tells the story of a poor boy named Charlie Bucket who goes on an adventure in the chocolate factory of the famous Willy Wonka.

The work has also been adapted into film twice. The 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory did not achieve the expected success, but the 2005 adaptation of the same name became a box office phenomenon and one of the most popular films of the year.
