Defender Ho Van Cuong: "The whole team is under a lot of pressure."

On the evening of November 2nd, Song Lam Nghe An FC hosted Ho Chi Minh City FC at home, determined to secure their first victory in the 2024/25 V-League season. However, as expected, the Nghe An team faced considerable difficulties against coach Phung Thanh Phuong's squad.

After a season on loan to Hanoi Police Club, Ho Van Cuong said that upon returning, he has integrated well and become much more confident, and will try to regain his form to contribute to his hometown team.

In the 2024/25 season, Song Lam Nghe An club has yet to win a single match, and Ho Van Cuong said the whole team is under a lot of pressure. "Honestly, it's not just me personally, but the whole team is under a lot of pressure right now. After 5 rounds, the team has 4 draws and 1 loss, currently sitting second to last in the standings. The squad is full of young players, so it's very stressful."

With this draw, Song Lam Nghe An extended their winless streak to six matches. However, with the point gained, the team from Nghe An temporarily escaped the bottom of the table and moved up to 12th place with 4 points, while Ho Chi Minh City FC remained in 9th place in the V-League 2024/25 standings.
