Defender Nguyen Sy Nam: 'The worst is over'
(Baonghean.vn) - The player, formerly of Song Lam Nghe An, has proven his ability and importance at his new team, Dong A Thanh Hoa.
To date, Nguyen Sy Nam is one of the players from Dong A Thanh Hoa who has played the most matches in the V.League 2023. Specifically, the defender born in 1993 has played the full 270 minutes in all three recent matches against Khanh Hoa, Song Lam Nghe An, and SHB Da Nang.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that the impressive performance of the Thanh Hoa team (2 wins, 1 draw) owes a great deal to the player wearing jersey number 6. Although he hasn't contributed much to the attack, Nguyen Sy Nam has performed his defensive duties quite excellently.
With his tenacious, aggressive, and refined playing style, Nguyen Sy Nam has become a solid shield at right-back for Dong A Thanh Hoa. Therefore, the player, who is about to turn 30, always receives the absolute trust of coach Velizar Popov.
Clearly, Nguyen Sy Nam had to put in a lot of effort to secure a regular place in the Dong A Thanh Hoa squad. It's worth remembering that, besides Nguyen Sy Nam, the Thanh Hoa team also has several other players who can fill the right-back position, such as Doan Ngoc Tan and Trinh Van Loi.
