The People's Council of Nghe An province is supervising the resolution of opinions and recommendations from voters in Con Cuong commune.
On the morning of October 10th, the Nghe An Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation worked with the Con Cuong Commune People's Committee as part of the plan to monitor the resolution of outstanding and long-standing opinions and recommendations from voters since the beginning of the term.

Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, chaired the meeting.
According to a report from the People's Committee of Con Cuong commune, Con Cuong commune was recently established by merging Tra Lan town and two communes, Chi Khe and Yen Khe, with a population of over 26,000 people.
Over the past period, the commune has actively coordinated with specialized agencies at the provincial level in resolving 6 voter petitions, mainly related to the fields of transportation, land, environment, and irrigation.
The People's Committee of the commune has categorized and forwarded issues that are beyond its jurisdiction to the competent authorities for resolution; at the same time, it has proactively informed and provided feedback on the resolution results to voters through village and neighborhood meetings, the commune's broadcasting system, and community social media.
At the meeting, representatives from various departments and agencies, along with the monitoring team, highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the Con Cuong commune government in coordinating, monitoring, and urging the resolution of voters' requests.
However, the delegation also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations, such as: some recommendations are still delayed, responses from provincial departments and agencies are sometimes slow; and monitoring and data compilation at the grassroots level are not carried out regularly.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - requested Con Cuong commune to continue improving the effectiveness of leadership and direction, clearly defining the responsibilities of each specialized department; and strengthening direct dialogue with the people to resolve difficulties at the grassroots level. He also suggested that the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies should accelerate digital transformation in the process of receiving, handling, and updating the progress of resolving voter petitions, in order to ensure greater transparency, openness, and timeliness.
Earlier, a delegation from the Provincial People's Council directly inspected landslide sites in Thuy Khe village, Con Cuong commune, to support the local authorities in addressing the subsidence and erosion along the banks of the Lam River.
