Russian nuclear missile-launching train project revealed.

Russia appears ready to build two "monster" weapons of war: a 100-ton ballistic missile and a train capable of carrying and launching six nuclear missiles.

These missiles and trains are "at a level of full industrial readiness for deployment if the relevant decision is made to include these projects in the national arms program," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told Pravda.

Newsweek reported that the 100-ton RS-28 Sarmat missile, which NATO calls Satan 2, is believed to carry 10 nuclear warheads and could destroy a country the size of France. Satan 2 is an upgraded version of the RS-36M, which NATO called Satan in the 1970s.

However, production of this type of missile has been delayed since 2014. Last week, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that it would not test the Satan 2 until the end of 2017.

Meanwhile, the Barguzin ships will resemble passenger ships, capable of traveling 2,400 km per day, and carrying up to six 55-ton RS-24 Yars ICBMs.

The Barguzin submarine is also an upgraded version of a Soviet design capable of carrying three nuclear ICBMs.

According to the National Interest magazine in March, Russia planned to test an ICBM from the Barguzin submarine in 2019.

Since the 1980s, the US has considered installing nuclear weapons on trains but later abandoned the idea.

Nuclear trains offer several advantages due to their mobility and difficulty in locating them. However, a 2014 RAND study revealed that this type of military vehicle still has limitations. The tracks can be paralyzed by snow, and the enemy can simply follow the tracks to track the train. And once detected, they are easy targets to destroy.
