The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift features a new front bumper, headlights, and taillights; however, the exterior styling and dimensions remain largely unchanged.

One of the most notable details of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the new front bumper, which the luxury automaker kept quite well-concealed during testing. In addition, the new headlights and taillights are the most obvious changes.

The front bumper was heavily camouflaged by Mercedes-Benz during testing.

According to Mercedes-Benz, this version will not use the same equipment as the previously released C, E, and S-Class versions. Instead, the 2018 C-Class is equipped with two additional high-intensity LED headlights that focus light into the center of the road at a distance. The system uses four control units to create an ideal lighting pattern 100 times per second.

The most noticeable changes are the redesigned headlights and taillights.

The two LED clusters in the photograph could be infrared LEDs that assist with night vision, helping drivers detect people or animals hidden from view on the road due to low-light conditions.

When the headlight cluster is supplemented by a high-intensity beam, it helps the vehicle illuminate a wider and clearer area on the road, especially when navigating curves, without dazzling other vehicles.

The rear of the car and the taillight cluster haven't changed much in size or style.

The vehicle is also equipped with an emergency warning light system that flashes when the vehicle makes an emergency stop at 48 km/h or when the emergency brake lights are on.
