(Baonghean.vn) - At the third consultative conference organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, an agreement was reached to select and compile an official list of 138 people to be elected as delegates to the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

After the conferencenegotiationFor the second time, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organized a training conference to guide the Fatherland Front at the district and commune levels in organizing conferences to gather opinions and assess the trustworthiness of voters residing in their areas regarding candidates for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
Specifically for those nominated to run for representative.Provincial People's CouncilDuring the 18th term, from March 24th to April 10th, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards, and towns coordinated with the People's Committees at the same level to convene and preside over conferences to gather opinions and assess the trustworthiness of 206 candidates from voters residing in their areas.

Specifically, the results of the voter confidence vote in the residential area for the 206 candidates are as follows: 202 candidates received 100% confidence; 3 candidates received between 95% and nearly 100% confidence; and 1 candidate received less than 50% confidence.
During the election process, up to April 14, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Sub-committee for resolving complaints and denunciations of the Provincial Election Committee did not receive any complaints, denunciations, or petitions from citizens related to candidates for the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Based on the Law on the Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies of 2015; Decision No. 18/QD-UBBC dated February 22, 2021 of the Provincial Election Committee; based on the standards for People's Council deputies, the structure, composition and number of deputies to be elected from various sectors and levels as agreed upon at the first consultative meeting; based on the results of the voter consultation in their place of residence; the opinions of organizations at all levels managing and nominating candidates; and the opinions of some candidates, at this meeting, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presents the proposed official list of 138 candidates for the 18th term of the Provincial People's Council (with 68 candidates expected to be withdrawn from the list compared to the second consultative meeting) for the meeting to consider and decide.

In the spirit of democratic, open, frank, and constructive exchange, the participants in the conference agreed and unanimously selected and compiled the official list of 138 candidates for the Provincial People's Council, 18th term, 2021-2026, to elect 83 representatives on May 23, 2021.
Of the 138 candidates on the official list, 52 are women (37.7%); 43 are young people (31.2%); 16 are from ethnic minorities (11.6%); 6 are non-Party members (4.3%); 4 are religious (2.9%); and 27 are re-elected (29.7%).

Following this conference, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will send the minutes and the official list of candidates to the National Election Council, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and the Provincial Election Committee to compile and announce the official list of candidates according to the designated electoral units.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will organize a meeting between the candidates and representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level to guide the organization of election campaign meetings in accordance with regulations.
