Consultation to officially select 138 people to elect delegates to the People's Council of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term

After the conferencenegotiationFor the second time, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee organized a training conference, guiding the Fatherland Front at district and commune levels to organize conferences to collect opinions and trust from voters at the place of residence for candidates for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, term 2021 - 2026.

For candidates nominated for election as delegatesProvincial People's Council18th term, from March 24 to April 10, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of communes, wards and towns coordinated with the People's Committees of the same level to convene and chair the organization of conferences to collect opinions and trust from voters at the place of residence for 206 candidates.

Specifically, the results of voters' trust in the place of residence for 206 candidates are as follows: 202 people have 100% trust; 3 people have trust from 95% to nearly 100%; 1 person has trust below 50%.

During the election process, as of April 14, 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Subcommittee for handling complaints and denunciations of the Provincial Election Committee have not received any complaints, denunciations or petitions from citizens related to candidates for the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Pursuant to the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies 2015; Decision No. 18/QD-UBBC dated February 22, 2021 of the Provincial Election Committee; based on the criteria for People's Council deputies, the structure, composition and number of elected deputies of the sectors and levels agreed upon by the first consultative conference; based on the results of collecting opinions from voters at the place of residence; opinions of organizations at all levels managing and recommending candidates and opinions of a number of candidates, at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee submitted a tentative official list of candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council deputies, which is 138 people (expected to be withdrawn from the list of candidates by 68 people compared to the second consultative conference agreed upon) for the conference to consider and decide.

In the spirit of democratic, open, frank and constructive exchange, the conference participants agreed to select and establish an official list of 138 candidates for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, to elect 83 delegates on May 23, 2021.

Of the total 138 candidates who were officially approved, 52 were female, accounting for 37.7%; 43 were young, accounting for 31.2%; 16 were ethnic minorities, accounting for 11.6%; 6 were non-Party members, accounting for 4.3%; 4 were religious, accounting for 2.9%; and 27 were re-elected, accounting for 29.7%.

After this conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will send the minutes and official list of candidates to the National Election Council, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Provincial Election Committee to establish and announce the official list of candidates according to the designated constituencies.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will organize a meeting with candidates and representatives of the Standing Committee of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to guide the organization of the election campaign conference according to regulations.
