Hillary Clinton is officially the Democratic presidential nominee.

Hillary Clinton was officially nominated by delegates at the Democratic National Convention as the party's candidate to run for the White House.

The Democratic National Convention (DNC), held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 26th, will hold roll calls by state to elect the party's presidential nominee.

The South Dakota delegation gave Hillary Clinton 15 votes, bringing her the 2,383 votes needed to become the nominee. In total, Clinton received 2,842 votes while Bernie Sanders, the senator from Vermont, received 1,865 votes, according to Reuters.
