SceneThe landslide in Sub-area 67 is about 30 km from the center of Phong Xuan commune, Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue. From Highway 71 to the scene, there are 10 serious landslides, the terrain is difficult, the risk of landslides is still very high.
From the afternoon of October 13, 2020 until today, forces have mobilized many types of machinery and equipment from the Military Region 4 Engineering Corps and the Department of Transport of Thua Thien Hue province to work continuously to clear the road as soon as possible.

Colonel Le Ba Dung - Chief of Engineering of Military Region 4 said:"Nthe mission assigned by the Military Region Command, lEngineer Force of Military Region 4to organize forces and means to participate in rescue and relief of Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant and officers and soldiers of the Military Region as well as local areas who are in distress in this area. Our military region forces have synchronized with other forces and all the most modern rescue and relief equipment. Currently, our equipment has reached here. However, due to the relatively large volume of earth and rock in the landslide area, we are looking for the fastest approach measures."

By 10:00 a.m. on October 14, the road had been cleared to the Forest Protection Management Station of Sub-region 67. Many excavators of the 41st Engineering Brigade, officers and soldiers of the 968th Division, the Military Command of Thua Thien Hue Province, the air force and the information service were mobilized to the scene to search for the missing people and continue to clear the road to access the Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant.
The 930th Regiment Air Force, 372nd Division, conducted a reconnaissance flight to observe the Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant area and dropped supplies of medicine and food.
