Coach Kim Sang-sik: 'We came to Thailand to win the championship'
Coach Kim Sang-sik made very confident and determined statements about winning the ASEAN Cup 2024.
At noon on January 4th, coach Kim Sang-sik attended the press conference before the match between the Thai national team and...Vietnam national teamWithin the framework of the second leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 final, this is the last match of the tournament, therefore, coach Kim Sang-sik believes that everyone must focus and be determined.
"We've forgotten everything that happened in the first leg; tomorrow we'll all start from scratch. I know this will be a difficult match because we're playing on Thailand's home ground. They're a strong team, and we'll try to prepare as well as possible."

When asked by reporters about the secret to his good results in his first official tournament, coach Kim Sang-sik said: "I've only been here for six months, and I really started my work about three months ago. It wasn't easy for me to understand the players. However, we spent a month training together, training in Korea, and I understood them better. We talked to each other all the time, from the dining room, the medical room, to the training ground. I and the whole team have become much more bonded, and I think that's the biggest reason we got good results in this year's tournament."

This is a national team match, a battle between representatives of two countries. That's more important than the fact that the two coaches from South Korea and Thailand are facing off. But that also means there's a lot of rivalry and tension here. I told the players that it's either win the championship, win the championship, win the championship, to show them the need for a strong spirit.
That's the most important thing to win. We came to Thailand to beat Thailand and win the championship. The Vietnamese team is tired due to the weather difference. But we worked hard training for over a month before the tournament in various weather conditions. We will try our best."
Also present at the press conference, player Chau Ngoc Quang shared: "Everyone will be ready for tomorrow's match. I know it's an important match for the Vietnamese people. Tomorrow, I see it as a battle, a battle that we must fight to win."
The second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand will kick off at 8 PM on January 5th in Bangkok, Thailand.
