Coach Kim Sang-sik: 'We came to Thailand to win the championship'
Coach Kim Sang-sik made very confident and determined statements to win the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship.
On the afternoon of January 4, coach Kim Sang-sik attended the press conference before the match between the Thai team and the Vietnamese team.Vietnam teamin the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final. This is the final match of the tournament, so coach Kim Sang-sik said that everyone must be focused and determined.
''We have forgotten everything that happened in the first leg, tomorrow everything will start again from the beginning. I know that this will be a difficult match because we have to play on Thailand's field. They are a strong team, we will try to prepare well.''

When asked by reporters about the secret to his good results in the first official tournament, coach Kim Sang-sik said: "I have only been here for 6 months, and I really started my job in the last 3 months. It was not easy for me to understand the players. However, we spent 1 month training together, training in Korea, I understood the players better. We talked to each other all the time, from the dining room, the medical room, to the training ground. The team and I have bonded much more, I think that is the biggest reason why we have good results in this year's tournament.

This is a national team match, a battle between representatives of two countries. That is more important than the two coaches from Korea and Thailand facing each other. But that also means there is a lot of rivalry and tension here. I told the players, one is to win, two is to win, three is to win, so they can see that they need to have a strong spirit.
That is the most important thing to win. We came to Thailand to beat Thailand and win the championship. The Vietnamese team is tired due to the different weather conditions. But we have been training hard for more than a month before the tournament with many different types of weather. We will try our best."
Also present at the press conference, player Chau Ngoc Quang shared: "Everyone will be ready for tomorrow's match. I know it is an important match for the Vietnamese people. Tomorrow I see it as a battle, a battle that we must fight to win."
The second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand will kick off at 8:00 p.m. on January 5 in Bangkok, Thailand./.
