Coach Kim Sang-sik: Vietnam will win convincingly against Indonesia.
Coach Kim Sang-sik shared insights into the Vietnamese national team's thorough preparation, emphasizing the importance of the match against Indonesia and the strategy to counter the opponent's weaknesses.

At the press conference held at Viet Tri Stadium, coach Kim Sang-sik began by commenting on the importance of the match between the Vietnamese national team and Indonesia on the evening of December 15th. He stated: "Today, many reporters are attending the press conference. This shows how important tomorrow's match is. For both Vietnam and Indonesia, tomorrow is a match of pride. Indonesia just drew with Laos, and facing Vietnam is a crucial moment for them to overcome their difficulties. However, we have prepared our best to win."
Coach Kim further shared about the Vietnamese team's preparation: "After watching Indonesia's two matches, I saw that their squad is mainly made up of young players, and they seem to have many issues. I analyzed this for the Vietnamese players and incorporated the ideas into training sessions. The whole team will still follow the plan set out from the beginning. Indonesia is having problems with physical fitness, so we will exploit this weakness to tire them out and achieve the desired result."
Emphasizing the packed schedule, Mr. Kim said: "Indonesia played against Laos on December 12th and then traveled to Vietnam on December 13th, so their physical condition is not at its best. However, we are also competing in the same tournament, so a difficult schedule is a common problem for all teams, and the Vietnamese national team is no exception. After the match against Indonesia, we have to travel to the Philippines to prepare for the match against the host nation on February 18th. Therefore, I will plan to rotate the squad."
When asked about the possibility of a big win, Coach Kim shared: "Many people will think the Vietnamese national team can win big against Indonesia. I don't deny that. However, I don't place too much importance on the score against Indonesia, because I understand how difficult it is to score against an opponent. Even though Indonesia is tired, they are still a strong team with enthusiasm and youthful energy."
The South Korean coach also warned about the danger posed by Pratama Arhan's throw-ins, a strategic weapon for Indonesia. "Throw-ins are a dangerous attacking tactic for Indonesia. Pratama Arhan has powerful and accurate throw-ins into the penalty area. However, we have prepared and are confident we have a countermeasure," Kim added.
The match between the Vietnam national team and Indonesia will take place at 8:00 PM on December 15th at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho province.
