Coach Kim Sang-sik: Vietnam will win big against Indonesia
Coach Kim Sang-sik shared the careful preparation of the Vietnam national team, emphasizing the importance of the match with Indonesia and the strategy to overcome the opponent's weaknesses.

At the press conference at Viet Tri Stadium, Coach Kim Sang-sik opened with his comments on the importance of the match between Vietnam and Indonesia on the evening of December 15. He said: "Today, there are many reporters attending the press conference. That shows how important tomorrow's match is. For Vietnam and Indonesia, tomorrow is a match of pride. Indonesia just drew with Laos, meeting Vietnam is an important moment for them to overcome difficulties. However, we have prepared our best to win."
Coach Kim shared more about the preparation of the Vietnamese team: "After watching Indonesia's two matches, I saw that their squad was mainly young players, and seemed to have many problems. I analyzed it for the Vietnamese players and put ideas into the training sessions. The whole team will still follow the plan set out from the beginning. Indonesia is having physical problems, so we will exploit this weakness to tire them out and achieve the desired results."
Emphasizing the tight schedule, Mr. Kim said: "Indonesia played Laos on December 12 and then traveled to Vietnam on December 13, so their physical condition is not at its best. However, we are also competing in the same tournament, so a difficult schedule is a common problem for teams, and the same goes for the Vietnam team. After the match with Indonesia, we have to go to the Philippines to prepare for the match with the host on February 18. Therefore, I will have a plan to rotate the squad."
When asked about the possibility of a big win, Coach Kim shared: "Many people will think that the Vietnam team can win big against Indonesia. I do not deny that. However, I do not care too much about the score of winning against Indonesia, because I understand how difficult it is to score against the opponent. Although Indonesia is tired, they are still a strong team with enthusiasm and youth."
The South Korean coach also warned about the danger of Pratama Arhan's throw-ins, a strategic weapon of Indonesia. "Throw-ins are a dangerous attack for Indonesia. Pratama Arhan has strong and accurate throw-ins into the penalty area. However, we are prepared and confident in countering them," Mr. Kim added.
The match between Vietnam and Indonesia will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 15 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho.
