Coach Miura regrets not being able to beat HAGL

Sharing in the press conference after the 2-2 draw despite being 2 goals down, coach Miura expressed regret for not being able to win. "I have 2 things to say, when the opponent is 2 goals down and 2 goals back, I am satisfied. However, looking at the whole match, I still regret not being able to win," Mr. Miura replied.

Mr. Miura also affirmed that Phi Son is a very important player in the game, especially in the context of many injured players, but Ho Chi Minh City Club is a team that "leans towards collective play".

When asked about the return of some key players, Mr. Miura emphasized the case of Sam Ngoc Duc. "He is an experienced player, from his time in Hanoi. I see Ngoc Duc performing strongly in every match. I want to thank the audience from Ho Chi Minh City who came to Pleiku Stadium to cheer enthusiastically for the team," Mr. Miura added.

Commenting on the performance of his former students in the Vietnam national team as well as the U23 team, Van Thanh and Cong Phuong, Mr. Miura said: "After leaving the national team, I see that they have accumulated experience. These are all talents of Vietnamese football."

When asked about the assumption that if he were still the head coach of the Vietnam National Team, who from HAGL would be called up to the national team, Mr. Miura avoided: "Sorry, I won't answer this hypothetical question, but I see that HAGL has a young and very talented group of players."

Regarding whether Quang Nam deserves to be called up to the national team or not, Coach Miura commented: "At the age of 19, he was called up to the national team but suffered injuries. From the very first contact, I was very impressed with Quang Nam, this is a talented player, I hope he will progress and play an increasingly important role for Ho Chi Minh City Club as well as Vietnamese football."

Coach Duong Minh Ninh of HAGL also expressed regret for not being able to get all 3 points. "This must be said to be a very regrettable match. The team should have won 3 points. The technical quality was very high, the whole team attacked and defended well. After scoring the second goal, the team lost focus. I will have to work with the defense when they lose focus at a certain point," said Mr. Duong Minh Ninh.

Responding to the question about this not being the first time this situation has happened, Mr. Ninh admitted: "In recent matches, the team has improved a lot, but this afternoon the same lack of concentration occurred. The coaching staff worked, thoroughly understood, and had better concentration to ensure more safety."

Sharing about goalkeeper Van Tien, the culprit who caused HAGL to lose points, Mr. Ninh expressed regret for his student: "Tien had a verbal argument with the audience when he lost 2 goals in a few minutes. The first goal was not fought fiercely, affecting the second situation. Tien's reflexes were a bit slow, it was a pity for him."

Coach Duong Minh Ninh praised the refereeing in this afternoon's match. When asked about the reinforcements in phase 2, this coach emphasized that HAGL's domestic force is also relatively good, and foreign players are almost here, so they should try to play better.

Mr. Ninh also commented on Phan Thanh Hau as follows; "From the beginning of the tournament until now, Thanh Hau has entered the field for the second time, today is the first time he has started, this afternoon he performed very well, controlling the midfield.
