Coach Park Hang-seo concludes his training trip to South Korea.

On the afternoon of October 29th, the Vietnamese national team played their final friendly match during their training camp in South Korea against Seoul E-land FC (currently playing in K-League 2). In this match, coach Park Hang-seo fielded a lineup featuring his most preferred players, including Van Lam, Hung Dung, Quang Hai, and Cong Phuong.

However, despite dominating possession, the Vietnamese team's inherent lack of effectiveness from their strikers prevented them from scoring a single goal. Meanwhile, our defense failed to maintain the necessary concentration and conceded two goals in the final minutes of the first half and the beginning of the second.

Concluding the training camp with three friendly matches, including one win and two losses, coach Park Hang-seo still expressed satisfaction with the players' performance. According to the South Korean strategist, the two weeks at the Paju Sports Training Center helped him and the coaching staff identify and address many issues. In an interview with reporters, the head coach of the Vietnamese national team stated:

"This was our last training match. The Vietnamese players were not yet accustomed to the fast-paced style of play typical of a Korean team, which is why we lost today's match. There were situations we couldn't resolve or couldn't stop the opponent's attacks."

However, through this training camp, I am pleased with the progress of the players, especially in terms of physical fitness. The training process also helped the team become more organized, coordinate more smoothly, and boost their fighting spirit. After this period, I will certainly be able to identify the best individuals."

One noteworthy detail is that striker Cong Phuong was called aside by coach Park Hang-seo for individual instructions. However, after the match ended, when asked whether he would build Vietnam's playing style around the striker from Nghe An, the 59-year-old coach remained evasive, briefly replying: "I have no comment on this matter."

According to the plan, the entire team will return to Vietnam on October 30th. The team will continue training domestically, and according to coach Park Hang-seo, he will announce the official 23-player squad on November 7th, just one day before Vietnam's opening match in the 2018 AFF Cup. Our opponent in the opening match of our campaign to conquer the Southeast Asian championship will be the Laotian national team.
