Reporter: SAfter more than half a season leading Song Lam Nghe An and helping the team avoid relegation, what makes you most satisfied and what are your concerns?

Coach Van Sy Son:When I took over the team from the 7th round, Song Lam Nghe An was facing many difficulties. By the end of the season, we achieved our goal of avoiding relegation and finished in 9th place. That was the result of the collective effort of the entire team, from the coaching staff to the players, along with their shared commitment to the football philosophy I built.

But what makes me happiest is seeing the players grow day by day. Many young players have shown significant improvement after each match, and that is the crucial foundation for the team's future.

However, what worries me most is that the old sponsor withdrew right at the end of the season. The two-month transition period meant we couldn't retain many players. To date, the team has parted ways with nine players but hasn't been able to bring in any new faces.

I hope that in the future, the new sponsor will continue to invest in youth training while also implementing policies to retain talented players from Nghe An province. Only when experienced players stay to guide the younger generation can the team develop sustainably.

Coach Van Sy Son:In my opinion, to have a strong team, the coaching staff must first instill the right spirit in the players. The coach must work tirelessly in order to demand that the players give their all.

In addition, I always hope that the fans will continue to support and encourage the team. For young players, the encouragement from the stands is very important, helping them to be more confident and perform better.

Reporter:For the new season, SLNA has lost many key players. How will he solve the squad problem?

Coach Van Sy Son:Our biggest challenge remains the personnel. Besides the domestic players, the selection of foreign players is also very important.

My view is that we need to find truly high-quality foreign players. They not only need to perform well but also know how to mentor the younger players. If the foreign players are not skilled enough, the burden will fall on the shoulders of the domestic players.

According to the new regulations, each team is allowed to use 4 foreign players. We prioritize 1 center-back, 1 midfielder, and 2 forwards.

Coach Van Sy Son:Absolutely, but it has to be done gradually. I've always said that you can't bring a young player to the V.League and expect them to immediately shine. That can easily put pressure on them and make them lose confidence. Young players need to mature step by step, game by game, season by season. We must create an environment for them to develop, rather than placing expectations on them that are beyond their capabilities.

The U19 team that just won the national championship and the U21 team preparing for the finals both have many promising players. I believe they will be the future of Song Lam Nghe An, but they need more time to gain experience.

Coach Van Sy Son:First of all, I would like to thank all the Song Lam Nghe An fans across the country who have always supported the team throughout the past season.

The new season will undoubtedly present many challenges. The team will be younger, and the transition process will take time.
