The last time Sergei Skripal’s daughter, Yulia, contacted her relatives was on her grandmother, Elena Yakovlevna’s, birthday in late July. She said her father was recovering, but because he had a tube in his throat, he could not speak. She promised that the tube would soon be removed and that her father would call his relatives.
Since then, Mr Skripal and his father have not made any further phone calls. According to Victoria, relatives began to suspect that Sergei was either dead or in a very critical condition.
"Why do we think so? Because Yulia said that after 3 days, Dad will be able to call, that he really wants to. We are all waiting, especially her, she really wants to hear her son's phone call... He is a good person. He loves his mother and will call her whenever he has the chance" - the person who spoke to the news agency said.
According to her, the strange thing is that there is not a single photo of Skripal published in the press, unlike the case of FSB Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Litvinenko who was poisoned in London in 2006.
Yulia Skripal said in a video released by Reuters on May 23 that she hoped to return to Russia. She also mentioned the Russian Embassy in London for help, but noted that she did not want to ask for help at the moment.
In Salisbury, England, on March 4, former intelligence colonel Sergei Skripal, who worked for the British special services, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned. The British side asserted that the Russian State was involved in the "poisoning" of Skripal with substance A234, which they consider to be equivalent to "Novichok". Russia firmly denies all allegations of involvement in"Skripal case".
