Ho Quynh Huong looks youthful at the age of 38

Although not as active as many other artists, Ho Quynh Huong is still loved by a large audience every time she appears.

In 2018, the singer from the mining area rarely released music products, but occasionally she still accepted to participate in some programs. She also invested more in her image and built a feminine, luxurious fashion style.

On January 5, Ho Quynh Huong will participate in the music night 'An Thuyen - Looking for the Mountain Shadow' in Hanoi to commemorate her teacher. The late musician was the one who supported the female singer in her first years of singing.

She said that musician An Thuyen saw her student's musical ability when she was only 17 years old: "Among many good voices in the 'National Television Singing Contest', he chose me to be specially admitted to the Military Culture and Arts School at that time, even though I was not outstanding at that time." After the course, Ho Quynh Huong went to the South to develop her career, which went against the late musician's wishes because he wanted to keep his student as a lecturer at the school.

"I asked my teacher to go to Saigon, but he didn't agree. He wanted me to serve in the army for a long time. I texted my sister, 'The teacher won't let me go to Saigon, but I'm determined. I'll go the day after tomorrow. If he asks, tell him I'm going back to Quang Ninh!'. I don't know how I texted the teacher's phone without realizing it. The next day, he called me. I had to write a self-criticism and do community service for a week," she said.

When accepting to sing at the memorial concert for musician An Thuyen, Ho Quynh Huong wanted to express her feelings and gratitude for the teacher she respected.

She will perform three famous songs by the late musician, including 'Buddha with a Thousand Eyes and a Thousand Hands', 'Fall into Hanoi' and 'Ho Guom in an Autumn Afternoon'. These are all works she has sung on big stages.

The female singer is also very excited because in the music night, she will reunite with many colleagues such as Thu Phuong, Tung Duong, Sao Mai Phuong Thao...

She also revealed that in 2019 she will have many plans to return to music instead of being quiet like in the past.
