Ho Quynh Huong looks youthful at 38.

Despite not being as active as many other artists, Ho Quynh Huong is still loved by a large audience every time she appears.

In a photoshoot marking her 38th birthday, the singer showcased her slender figure and alluring charm in figure-flattering dresses. For over 10 years, Ho Quynh Huong has been a vegetarian and chosen a positive lifestyle, staying away from the hustle and bustle of showbiz. Thanks to her peaceful life, she has maintained her youthful appearance even as she approaches 40.

In 2018, the singer from the mining region released fewer musical products, but she occasionally accepted invitations to participate in some programs. She also invested more in her image and developed a feminine and elegant fashion style.

On January 5th, Ho Quynh Huong will participate in the concert 'An Thuyen - Searching for the Shadow of the Mountain' in Hanoi to commemorate her mentor. The late musician was a mentor to the female singer in her early years of singing.

She recounted that composer An Thuyên recognized her musical talent when she was only 17 years old: "Among many talented singers in the 'National Television Singing Contest,' he chose me and granted me special admission to the Military Academy of Culture and Arts at that time, even though I wasn't particularly outstanding then." After the course, Hồ Quỳnh Hương moved to the South to develop her career, which went against the late composer's wishes, as he wanted to keep his student as a lecturer at the school.

"I asked my teacher for permission to go to Saigon, but he didn't agree; he wanted me to serve in the army long-term. I texted my sister, 'The teacher won't let me go to Saigon, but I'm determined. I'm leaving the day after tomorrow. If he asks, tell him I'm going back to Quang Ninh!' For some reason, I accidentally sent the message to my teacher's phone without realizing it. The next day, he called me in, and I had to write a self-criticism report and do community service for a week," she recounted.

By accepting the invitation to sing at the memorial concert for composer An Thuyên, Hồ Quỳnh Hương wanted to express her feelings and gratitude for the teacher she greatly respected.

She will perform three famous songs by the late composer: 'Buddha with a Thousand Eyes and a Thousand Hands', 'Melting into Hanoi', and 'Ho Guom Lake in the Autumn Afternoon'. These are all works she has previously sung on major stages.

The singer is also very excited because at the concert, she will reunite with many colleagues such as Thu Phuong, Tung Duong, Sao Mai Phuong Thao...

She also revealed that in 2019 she will have many plans to return to music instead of remaining silent like she has been recently.
