Amidst the chilly weather of early winter, Muong Long commune suddenly becomes unusually vibrant. Peach blossoms – a flower usually only seen during the Lunar New Year – unexpectedly burst into bloom, covering the mountain slopes with a vivid pink hue, making visitors feel as if spring has arrived in this remote border region.
From the end of October, the atmosphere in Muong Long already feels like an early Tet (Lunar New Year). Visitors can wear warm coats and woolen scarves, sleep under warm blankets, and enjoy the characteristic chill of the highlands. Against a backdrop of clear blue skies and a thin, lingering mist, ancient peach trees begin to bloom their first flowers.
