Miss World Vietnam 2022 Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong has caused concern after revealing her prolonged insomnia and physical exhaustion, which directly affect her mental health.
Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, Miss World Vietnam 2022, has recently revealed an alarming health condition with symptoms of exhaustion and prolonged mental instability. Despite her efforts to improve her condition, the 1999-born beauty queen remains trapped in a cycle of severe insomnia, directly impacting her work performance and quality of life.
Symptoms include prolonged insomnia and physical weakness.
According to former Miss Vietnam Mai Phuong, she has great difficulty falling asleep and rarely gets a deep sleep. Notably, her body remains sluggish and lacking alertness the next morning, even on days when she sleeps for more than 10 hours. To maintain focus for her busy schedule, she turns to coffee, but her body no longer responds positively to this stimulant.
"I'm very frustrated because I have so much trouble falling asleep; I can't get a deep sleep. Some days I sleep for more than 10 hours, but I still wake up feeling sleepy and not alert. I have to drink coffee to stay awake, but that doesn't help either. Sleep is really a big problem for me," Mai Phuong shared helplessly about her personal situation.
In response to these signs of instability, netizens and fans have repeatedly offered advice and urged the beauty queen to quickly go to a medical facility for a check-up. Many expressed concern that if left untreated, this condition could lead to severe physical exhaustion and have serious consequences for her mental health.
Pressure during a career transition
Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong is a familiar face in major beauty pageants in Vietnam. Before being crowned Miss World Vietnam 2022, she was a Top 5 finalist in Miss Vietnam. At the international Miss World competition, she also impressively reached the Top 40.
In August 2024, Mai Phuong officially left Sen Vang Entertainment to join a new management company, alongside artists like Phuong My Chi and Lan Khue. This was a significant step towards realizing her dream of becoming a professional singer. However, despite releasing several musical products, Mai Phuong is still in the process of establishing her position and has yet to make a breakthrough in the highly competitive music market.
