These days, flower prices are high, Da Lat roses cost 100,000 - 150,000 VND/flower, Ecuadorian roses cost 200,000 - 250,000 VND/flower... The prices of flower baskets range from 250,000 to 1 million VND depending on the type of flower and the size of the basket,” said Ms. Mai Oanh, owner of a fresh flower shop on Nguyen Van Cu Street.

The bouquets are arranged from new banknotes of different denominations, from a few hundred, a few million to tens of millions of dong depending on the needs of the customer. Ms. Mai Ngoc, owner of a gift shop in Nghi Hoa ward (Cua Lo town) said: “Last year during the holiday, the shop only received about 10 orders for flowers made from real money, each bouquet costing from 300,000 VND to several million VND. The main customers were people working far away, working abroad, ordering for the shop by phone, giving to their mothers, wives, and girlfriends. This year, although it was not yet the official holiday, there were about 20 orders for flowers made from real money, the money in the bouquet was determined by the customer and I received from 100,000 to 1 million VND for the labor fee/bouquet (depending on the value, amount, and sophistication).

Thanks to that, purchasing power has increased by about 50-70% compared to a week ago."

These days, many stores and shopping malls are simultaneously implementing discount and promotion programs of up to 80% for fashion, accessories and jewelry items. Many jewelry stores, in addition to giving gifts and discounts when buying, also reduce manufacturing costs, give gifts and vouchers or give away movie tickets, "lucky draw" programs...
