The pitiful situation of three orphaned brothers

Nearly a week after Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (born in 1973) passed away, the house of three orphaned brothers in the middle of Phuong Hoang hamlet (hamlet 7A, old Hung Long commune), Long Xa commune, Hung Nguyen district is still shrouded in an atmosphere of mourning.

Their parents died early, leaving behind three children, one of whom is still young and the other has a congenital illness."

According to the story of Nguyen Thanh Dat - the eldest brother (20 years old), Mr. Binh was originally from Hung Linh commune and married Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (born in 1973) who lived in his wife's hometown. After giving birth to the youngest child for 8 months, due tosituationPoor family, Mrs. Nga had to leave her young child in the countryside to go to Hanoi to work and earn money.
On a visit home to her children, she suffered a stroke and passed away, leaving her brothers and neighbors in mourning. At that time, Dat was in 7th grade, Cong was less than 1 year old, and Thanh, who had a congenital disability, was in 5th grade.
After his wife passed away, Mr. Binh became a single father raising his children. Over the years, in addition to farming nearly 3 acres of rice fields, he also worked as a construction worker, a wall painter, etc. to support his children. But he thought that life was difficult, but unexpectedly, disaster once again befell his family.
In early 2020, while returning home late from work, Mr. Binh was dazzled by the headlights and crashed his car into a road boundary post on Highway 46, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. After months of treatment at the provincial hospital, his health continued to deteriorate and he lost the ability to drive.labor.
Recently, Mr. Binh has fainted many times at home... On January 4, 2021, seeing that his health was abnormal, his brothers took him to the hospital, but he did not survive, leaving behind 3 orphaned children.

Mr. Binh's passing made everyone in the village feel extremely sorry, partly because they felt sorry for him, partly because they felt sorry for his children who had lost their parents before they grew up.
Mr. Vo Dinh Toi - Secretary of the Youth Union of Phuong Hoang hamlet shared: “Uncle Binh lost his wife a few years ago. Raising his children alone was extremely difficult. But cruel fate took his life, leaving behind three children without support, one with a congenital disability, the other still very young. The pain of losing his mother has not yet subsided, now the pain of losing his father has been added. Seeing the situation of a family that is no longer intact, it is truly heartbreaking and heartbreaking.”
When Mr. Binh passed away, all the relatives in the area came to share and encourage the three orphaned brothers. Mrs. Vo Thi Oi (80 years old) - the grandmother of Dat, Thanh, and Cong also closed her house to live with her three grandchildren.
Mrs. Oi said with tears in her eyes: “It’s so pitiful, my child. Her father had an accident, and before he could pay off his debts, he passed away, leaving behind several young children. The other day, some people came to visit, and out of pity for the family, they bought two beds for the children to sleep on. Unfortunately, after her father passed away, the only bed was taken apart and burned according to custom, so the children had to spread out mats to sleep in the kitchen.”

Due to his family's circumstances, after finishing his father's funeral, while the pain of losing a loved one was still heavy, Nguyen Thanh Dat had to go to work at a pho restaurant in Vinh City, going in the morning and coming back in the afternoon.
Sharing about the pain of losing his father, Dat confided: “I don’t know why misfortunes always befall my family. My parents passed away, and the house became empty. Missing my parents, I feel my responsibility is even heavier, I have to try to work, earn money to pay off the debt and provide for my younger siblings’ education.”
Of the three orphaned siblings, the second child, Nguyen Dat Thanh (17 years old), was born with a congenital disability, slurred speech, shaky limbs, and an erratic memory, and had to drop out of school early. Nguyen Thanh Cong (8 years old) is in 3rd grade. Cong is the youngest child and has suffered the most. He lost his mother before he was 1 year old and his father when he was 8 years old.
