In early June, after returning from working in the fields, Oanh's mother, Lo Thi Nam (44 years old), suddenly passed away after a serious illness. Relatives and family members, feeling sorry for Oanh, who was still young and helpless, each did their part to help with her mother's funeral arrangements.

Oanh's small figure stood listlessly beside her mother's altar.

The humble house where Oanh and her mother usually lived now has one room set up with an altar for her mother and another for her to live in. Feeling sorry for her being all alone, her aunt and uncle wanted to take her in, but they are also facing many difficulties. Mrs. Lien (Oanh's aunt) shared: "We love her very much, but we are old and frail, our health is limited. We can only teach her to be obedient, but she will definitely have to drop out of school to find crabs and snails to earn a living."

The future of Lo Thi Oanh has become bleak... A child who is too young to understand the world, already without a father, now loses the love and care of her mother.
