(Baonghean) - This was the request of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province at a meeting to resolve obstacles for key projects in the area.

As the seventh project of the VSIP Group, the VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Zone is the largest investment project in Nghe An province. However, according to investors, in addition to objective reasons, many obstacles remain unresolved.

VSIP Nghe An has substantial capital and a significant impact on the province. The project has already leveled approximately 100 hectares of land for the industrial zone and over 10 hectares for the urban area; the basic infrastructure within the industrial zone, including roads, wastewater and rainwater drainage systems, lighting, and a fire station, has been largely completed. Furthermore, 11 investors have committed to investing in the project's industrial zone.

However, according to the investor's report, the construction process is still being obstructed by local residents. Regarding the relocation of 25 graves along National Highway 46B, Hung Nguyen district has not yet directed the exhumation of any more graves. As for the 10 residential plots in Hung Nguyen town, to date, 3 households have not accepted the compensation price for land clearance and resettlement...

Recently, at a meeting to resolve obstacles for key projects, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Duong, criticized several departments and localities for still allowing situations where investors are dissatisfied. The Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, and requested investors to focus on and cooperate effectively to resolve obstacles for investors.

The Chairman requested the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone to act as the focal agency, coordinating with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to resolve related issues; and requested Hung Nguyen district to relocate 25 graves along National Highway 46B, relocate 5 plots of land belonging to religious families and 4 out of 10 residential plots in Hung Nguyen town, to be completed before October 30, 2017.

Regarding the land mine for leveling purposes, it is requested that the land in Zone 1C be cleared and handed over to VSIP Company before October 30, 2017, and that all outstanding issues in Zone 1E be resolved before October 20, 2017, so that VSIP Company can mine the land without obstruction from local residents.

The People's Committee of Vinh City must definitively resolve all outstanding issues and obstacles to ensure that the land in the 0.2-hectare technical zone and the 0.8-hectare urban zone is handed over to VSIP Company by October 15, 2017.

On the investor's side, the Provincial People's Committee requests VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd. to promptly allocate the land clearance funds (70%) for phase 1B to compensate the households as requested in writing by the Provincial People's Committee.

To address obstacles in the final stages of projects, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Center to take the lead in coordinating closely with the Provincial People's Committee Office and relevant departments, agencies, and localities to regularly monitor and grasp the situation and progress of key investment attraction projects in the province; the situation of implementing tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to departments, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns; and report to the provincial leadership as promptly as possible.
