After his challenging role in 'Red Rain', actor Hoang Long shared about the journey that took him several months to break free from the character and transform into Bien, an introverted young man with many emotional wounds.

Following the success of his role as Sen in the film "Red Rain," actor Hoang Long returns to the screen with the character Bien in "One Millimeter Away From You." He said it took him several months to truly say goodbye to his old role and embrace the new character with a purer, more profound heart.

Hoang Long shared that although Sen and Bien have some similarities, their backgrounds, emotions, and lifestyles are completely different. The transition between roles was therefore not easy, requiring a considerable amount of time for him to open his heart to a new life.

The journey of transforming into the character Bien

In "One Millimeter Away From You," Bien is a young man with a complicated fate. Growing up with his grandmother because his parents worked far away, he was introverted, withdrawn, and somewhat insecure. These psychological barriers made it difficult for Bien to open up to others, except for his grandmother and his close group of friends in May Village.

Hoang Long said that it was Bien's profound inner life and complex psychological transformations that motivated him to take on the role. He wanted to challenge himself to explore and fully portray the emotional journey of a young man who carries many wounds but still secretly yearns for the light.

Touching memories from the film set.

Despite the short filming time, Hoang Long still has many memorable moments. He shared that the scene that moved him the most was when Bien sits in his rented room and remembers his grandmother. She was his only remaining relative, and her passing was a great loss that shaped Bien into the person he became as an adult.

Besides the poignant scenes, the atmosphere on set was always warm and friendly. Hoang Long described the "One Millimeter Away From You" crew as a family, where everyone cared for, supported, and brought laughter to each other. He described the film crew in three words: "united - cheerful - creative."

Excellent chemistry with co-stars.

Hoang Long also shared some fun memories about his co-stars. He recounted a scene with actor Dung Hon (playing Chien Do), who often added witty lines, sometimes leading to "dialogue chaos" situations that made the whole film crew burst into laughter.

In another scene with actress Kieu My (playing Thu), the character's emotions surged so intensely that the atmosphere on set became silent. Hoang Long said that although he was very moved, he still had to restrain his emotions to maintain the correct mindset of the character Bien in that moment, showing the professionalism and high concentration of the actors.
