Hoang Mai honors 60 good farmers and businessmen

(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee and Farmers' Association of Hoang Mai town have just held a conference to honor 60 delegates of farmers who are good at production and business in the period 2012 - 2016.

Implementing the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", on average each year Hoang Mai town has 54.6% of households registering to compete. Up to now, the whole town has 5,821 good production and business households at all levels with an average income from 2.5 to over 6.5 million VND/person/month, an increase of 1,862 households compared to 2012. Of which, there are 30 good households at the central level, 92 households at the provincial level, 405 households at the town level and 5,294 good production and business households at the commune and ward levels.

Good production and business households are present in all types of production and business, contributing to improving the quality of goods and products, forming cooperatives, cooperatives and private enterprises in the area. Of these, there are 943 households good at cultivation and animal husbandry; 825 households good at professions and handicrafts; 2,171 households good at industry, trade and services; 1,882 households good at processing agricultural, forestry and seafood products, and general production and business.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Hai - Vice President of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized that in order for the movement to go deeper, Farmers' Associations at all levels need to strengthen the implementation of various types of support services for farmers, especially in terms of capital, seeds, materials, and transfer of scientific and technological advances. Encourage farmers to link up and establish cooperatives and large-scale production models in the direction of value chains in crop and livestock farming.

At the conference, the Town People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 groups and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of Farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably in the period 2012-2016. The conference elected 6 delegates to attend the Provincial Conference on Good Production and Business./.
