Hoang Thuy Linh: 'During the scandal, I only stayed within four walls'

On the morning of March 6, Hoang Thuy Linh held a launch event for her autobiography 'Vang Anh and Phuong Hoang', marking 10 years of professional artistic activities. The female singer chose to hold the event at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema because this is where she spent her real student years studying directing. She graduated as valedictorian of the Television Directing program in 2006 and received a Master's degree in Television Cinema Arts in 2013.

Hoang Thuy Linh shared that she wanted to stand up wherever she fell. She returned to her old school to meet her teachers and friends, the people who had been by her side during her darkest times, so that they could see her now. If in the past, what haunted her the most was the pitying eyes of her relatives and friends, today, she saw the same people, but their eyes were happy and congratulatory. That made her feel happy and proud.

Hoang Thuy Linh also said that she has overcome all prejudices in the past 10 years for the honor of her family. She wants to tell her parents, relatives and friends that she is very different today, mature, living better, knowing how to appreciate life and what she has in her hands. "The past has happened, the future is ahead, my destiny is in the palm of my hand. I am no longer a burden to society, to my family. I have overcome that for a long time. Now, I want to spend the next fund of my time to contribute to the environment I live in".

In her autobiography, Hoang Thuy Linh recounts her life, especially the shocking scandal at the age of 19 that caused her to lose everything. She endured much scorn from others, but it was her parents and friends who stood by her side to help her become stronger and start over.
