Hoang Thuy hints at participating in the Miss Universe world pageant.
Hoang Thuy has revealed many details about her upcoming journey, most notably hinting that she might represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2019 beauty pageant. Hoang Thuy also stated that H'Hen Niê's Top 5 finish at Miss Universe 2018 is not a source of pressure for her.
Appearing on the talk show "Meeting with Stars," Hoang Thuy wore a feminine and elegant outfit, a stark contrast to her edgy, sharp, and somewhat cold and mysterious image when performing on the catwalk.
Sharing with the MC, Hoang Thuy recounted her most recent experience, which was representing Vietnam at the ASEAN Youth Engagement Summit 2019.
There, Hoang Thuy had the opportunity to meet many international delegates, young people, and especially, she gave a confident 20-minute presentation in English, which received much support.
Affirming that she has had many opportunities and exciting experiences since winning the title of First Runner-up at Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, Hoang Thuy said that she continues to strive and train every day.

She is not afraid of what people think of her appearance and face, which are somewhat different from the familiar "standard" of Vietnamese beauty. Instead, Hoang Thuy asserts that she only changes herself if she feels it is right and necessary to make herself more beautiful and perfect.
Showing humility and a desire to learn more interesting things in life, Hoang Thuy shared:Hoang Thuy is still quite young, so she needs to further improve her appearance, social knowledge, environmental knowledge, understanding of pressing issues in her country and around the world, and her English skills if she wants to represent Vietnam on the world stage.Hoang Thuy also hinted at the possibility of representing Vietnam at Miss Universe 2019 this year.

When asked about the pressure she felt following H'Hen Niê's success, Hoàng Thùy affirmed that Miss Universe is the biggest beauty pageant on the planet, and the competition among contestants is intense.
However:Thùy approached her goals not to compete or fight for anything. In Thùy's mindset, what matters most is how much one grows and whether one dares to face challenges."Hoang Thuy also stated that success depends largely on oneself; one must strive and make an effort to achieve it."

Hoang Thuy also stated that H'Hen Niê's Top 5 finish at Miss Universe 2018 did not create pressure for her, but rather inspired her even more, helping her to strive harder to bring pride to her country if she represents Vietnam at this beauty pageant this year.
