A 9th-grade student in Nghe An province died, suspected of drowning in the Hieu River.
On April 9th, the People's Committee of Quy Chau commune confirmed that a serious drowning accident had occurred in the Hieu River.
According to initial information, the victim is LTĐ (born in 2011), a 9th-grade student at Hanh Thiet Secondary School, Quy Chau commune (Nghe An province).
At around 5 PM that same day, D. went down to the Hieu River to swim. After jumping into the river, he drowned.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities in Quy Chau commune quickly arrived at the scene and organized a search. By evening of the same day, the victim's body was found and handed over to the family for burial.
The incident is currently being investigated further by the relevant authorities.
