The official document clearly states that for the Lunar New Year of the Rooster 2017, teachers and staff of educational management agencies, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, continuing education centers, and vocational training centers will have a 7-day holiday, in accordance with the holiday schedule stipulated by the Government.

However, for preschool, primary, and secondary school students, the Lunar New Year holiday for the Year of the Rooster will last 11 days, starting from January 23, 2017 to February 1, 2017 (i.e., from the 26th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Monkey to the 5th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Rooster).
