Students in Nghe An receive nearly 20 billion VND in Soshi scholarships from Japan.
(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of March 9th, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to announce the 2017 Soshi Scholarship from Japan. This year, in Nghe An province, Dien Chau 2 High School had the highest number of scholarship recipients.
The Soshi Scholarship was first launched in 2014 for students who participated in the scholarship examination and intended to study at International Pacific University (IPU) in Japan. To be eligible for the Soshi Scholarship, students must achieve an average GPA of over 6.5 and pass a written exam consisting of three parts: Mathematics multiple-choice test, Foreign language multiple-choice test, and Essay writing.

In 2017, the exam in Nghe An attracted 228 students. As a result, Soshi Group awarded 89 scholarships, with 20 students receiving Type B scholarships (50%) and 69 students receiving Type C scholarships (30%) covering tuition fees for the entire 4-year university course at IPU University. The total value of the scholarships was nearly 20 billion VND.
According to this year's Soshi scholarship award list, Dien Chau 2 High School has the highest number of scholarship recipients with 20 students. Next are the schools: Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Dien Chau 5 High School, Le Hong Phong High School, Thanh Chuong 1 High School, Dien Chau 3 High School, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, Nghi Loc 2 High School, Vinh University Specialized High School for Mathematics, Kim Lien High School, Le Viet Thuat High School and Cua Lo High School. |
