Students in Nghe An will return to school on August 26th.
Today (August 14th), the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 2082/QD-UBND promulgating the timetable for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool education, general education, and continuing education.
Accordingly, this school year, students in Nghe An will return to school on August 26, 2024.The opening ceremony for the new school year will be held on September 5, 2024.
According to this decision, students throughout the province will finish the first semester before January 18, 2025, and complete the curriculum and end the school year before May 31, 2025.

The assessment for completion of primary school and the assessment for graduation from lower secondary school will be completed before June 30, 2025.
Complete the enrollment process for entry-level classes before July 31, 2025.
This school year, the high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26th and 27th, 2025.
Other national-level examinations are organized according to the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training. Provincial-level examinations, competitions, and sports events are organized according to the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training.

According to regulations, the school year must have a total of 35 weeks of actual learning (18 weeks in the first semester and 17 weeks in the second semester). Public holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays are observed according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guiding documents.
Regarding this decision, in an interview with Nghe An Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of the Office of the Department of Education and Training - stated: According to the provincial guidelines, this school year, all schools in Nghe An province will simultaneously hold their opening ceremonies on the morning of September 5, 2024. Therefore, any locality that intends to hold the ceremony before this date is acting contrary to regulations.
