Students in Nghe An province who returned lost items receive a letter of commendation from the Director of the Department of Education.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 26, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training sent a letter of commendation to two students, Duong Thi Binh and Nguyen Thi Van (Class 12A9, Yen Thanh 2 High School), for their commendable act of returning lost property to its owner.
Earlier, on the afternoon of March 20th, while on their way to the Dong Thanh Commune People's Committee office to complete enrollment paperwork, two students, Duong Thi Binh and Nguyen Thi Van, found a wallet containing 8,869,000 VND but no identification documents.
The two children decided to go to the Dong Thanh Commune Police Station to report the lost wallet and find its owner. After two days of posting notices and sharing on social media, the Dong Thanh Commune Police found the owner of the wallet and returned it to them.

In the letter of commendation, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, affirmed: This is a noble act, worthy of the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh: "Humility, honesty, and courage."
The Director of the Department of Education and Training hopes that the students will continue to study, train, and cultivate themselves to become good citizens, contributing to making society better and better.
Following this incident, the Director of the Department of Education and Training also requested that students in schools learn from the example of Duong Thi Binh and Nguyen Thi Van; and that school principals strengthen efforts to identify, promptly encourage, praise, and promote good examples among staff, teachers, and students, so that the positive actions of the education sector can spread widely.
