Students in flood-affected areas of Ky Son and many other localities have returned to school.

Ky SonThis is one of the districts severely affected by the flash floods that occurred last weekend. Two schools suffered the most damage: the kindergarten and primary school in Ha Son village, Ta Ca commune. In addition, dozens of teachers and students' families were also affected, with their homes and school supplies swept away by the floods.

To help students at these two schools settle into their new lives as soon as possible.go to schoolTo reiterate, the Department of Education and Training has directed the transfer of all 20 primary school students from the Ha Son branch school to the Ta Ca Primary and Secondary School for boarding students.

Regarding preschool students, due to their young age and the fact that the school building has not yet been repaired, the department plans to borrow houses from local residents for teaching in the short term. In a discussion, Mr. Phan Van Thiet, Head of the Education and Training Department of Ky Son District, stated that as of today, most primary and secondary school students throughout the district have returned to school. The district has also directed schools to pay attention to each student and provide timely tutoring and remedial instruction for those who have missed school for extended periods, as well as to make up for missed lessons.

Nam Dan district also experienced prolonged flooding, especially in areas on the other side of the Lam River. However, according to a report from the Department of Education and Training, as of yesterday (October 6th), students throughout the district had returned to school as normal.

Currently, two districts are still keeping students out of school: Hung Nguyen and Thanh Chuong. In Hung Nguyen district, this includes Hung Dao, Hung Thinh, and Hung Loi kindergartens, as well as Hung Loi Primary School. According to Ms. Cao Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Education and Training Department of Hung Nguyen district: As the floodwaters recede, schools and relevant authorities are coordinating to clean up the affected areas. We are trying our best, and if the weather is sunny and there is no more rain, we expect students to return to school by the beginning of next week.

Thanh Chuong district still has 9 schools in low-lying areas where students cannot attend, including 2 primary schools and 7 kindergartens. The schools most severely affected by flooding are concentrated in the communes of Thanh Khai, Thanh Xuan, Thanh Lien, Thanh Ha, Thanh Lam, and Ngoc Son.

Thus, after more than a week affected by the remnants of Typhoon No. 4 and flash floods, despite great efforts, the slow receding of the water this year has resulted in continued flooding and localized isolation. Therefore, thousands of students in many schools are still unable to attend classes. This is also the longest school closure for students in Nghe An in recent years.
