These are shining examples, flowers in everyday life, honored by the Vinh City Party Committee during the summary of 5 years of implementing Directive 03 of the Politburo on continuing to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's moral example.

Mr. Hoang Viet Dien – Head of Block 9, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City

Mr. Hoan Viet Dien has 8 years of experience as the head of Block 9, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City.

"For me, learning from and following Uncle Ho means being simple, humble, honest, straightforward, amiable, close to everyone, living a meaningful life, and showing affection to family, friends, comrades, neighbors, and those around me."

It was this way of life and these virtues that earned Mr. Hoang Viet Dien the trust of the Party branch and the people, who entrusted him with the responsibility of being the head of Block 9, Quan Bau Ward, after 35 years of service in the army upon returning to his hometown.

It is precisely because of his honest, approachable, and compassionate way of life that the issues he spoke about and propagated were trusted and supported by the people, contributing to building unity and solidarity among them.

During his eight years as neighborhood leader, he worked with the people to build the neighborhood into a culturally advanced unit, ensuring good security and order, and was awarded a certificate of commendation by the Vinh City People's Committee. Mr. Hoang Viet Dien himself has been an outstanding Party member for five consecutive years and is a leading example in studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh in Quan Bau ward and Vinh City.

Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen – Deputy Director of the Provincial Psychiatric Hospital

Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen, Deputy Director of Nghe An Psychiatric Hospital, is a shining example of someone who is always wholeheartedly dedicated to her patients.

For me, studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh means following his advice to medical staff: "A good doctor must be like a loving mother." As the Deputy Director of the hospital, to convey his wishes to medical staff, Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen always sets an example herself and reminds hospital staff to remember the 12 principles of medical ethics to implement in their daily work.

She often confided to her staff that the patients who come here are all "special" patients, and everyone must respect them, maintain a proper, welcoming, dedicated, and thoughtful attitude; diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication appropriately, ensuring fairness in care and service; without discrimination between rich and poor.

With the belief that "a good doctor should be like a loving mother," Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen is also very active in scientific research, striving to find and offer many solutions and methods for treating and caring for patients in a high-quality and effective manner.

She is the best. And every year, one of her research topics is recognized and applied in practice. For her contributions, in the five years from 2011 to 2016, Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen was classified as an outstanding Party member and received numerous commendations from the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and many other levels.

Mr. Tran Duc Luan – Farmer, Chairman of the Family Farm Club of Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City

Farmer Tran Duc Luan not only enriched himself but also helped many other farmers become wealthy.

As a farmer with calloused hands, Mr. Tran Duc Luan studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh's example by focusing on developing his family's economy, helping other farming households like himself to do business, and contributing to enriching himself and society.

With that in mind, using his meager savings, he boldly borrowed more money from the bank to invest in building barns for livestock farming, combined with aquaculture. Through diligent research and learning about livestock farming techniques from books, newspapers, the internet, and practical farming models, Mr. Tran Duc Luan successfully developed a model of raising egg-laying chickens and specialized fish farming, bringing in an income of 200-300 million VND per year.

Drawing on his business experience, Mr. Tran Duc Luan readily shared his knowledge with other farmers. He established a family farm group of 29 participating households to support each other in production and product distribution. He also spearheaded the creation of a savings and credit group among livestock farmers to provide interest-free loans to help them develop their farming models.

With this capital, coupled with comprehensive assistance in methods, techniques, and market access, 15 integrated livestock farms were established. He personally supported two families in developing chicken farms with a scale of 2,500-3,000 laying hens. Annually, he contributes 3-5 million VND to support the arts, culture, and sports movements in the Yen Due area. Mr. Tran Duc Luan became a model in the patriotic emulation movement of Nghe An province during the 2010-2015 period and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
