Mr. Hoang Viet Dien - Head of Block 9, Quan Bau Ward, Vinh City

Mr. Hoan Viet Dien has 8 years of experience as block leader of block 9, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city.

“For me, learning and following Uncle Ho means being simple, modest, honest, straightforward, gentle, close to everyone, living meaningfully, and having affection for relatives, friends, teammates, neighbors, and people around me.”

It is because of that way of life and virtue that Mr. Hoang Viet Dien was trusted by the Party Cell and the people to be assigned the responsibility of being the head of block 9, Quan Bau ward after 35 years of working in the army and returning to his locality.

Thanks to his honest, close, meaningful and affectionate lifestyle with those around him, the issues he spoke about and promoted were trusted and agreed upon by the people, contributing to building solidarity and cohesion among the people.

During his 8 years as block leader, he and the people built the block to become a cultural unit, an area with good security and order, and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Vinh City People's Committee. Mr. Hoang Viet Dien himself has been a party member for 5 consecutive years, completing his tasks excellently and is a typical example of studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh in Quan Bau ward and Vinh City.

Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen - Deputy Director of Nghe An Mental Hospital is a shining example of always devoting herself to the sick.

For me, studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh means following his advice to medical staff, “A good doctor must be like a mother”. As the Deputy Director of the hospital, to convey Uncle Ho’s wishes to medical staff, Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen always sets an example herself and reminds hospital staff to remember the 12 medical ethics to carry out in their daily work.

She often confided to her staff that: The patients who come here are all "special" patients, each person must respect the patient, have the right attitude, be enthusiastic, dedicated, thoughtful; diagnose, treat, prescribe appropriate medicine, ensure fairness in care and service; do not discriminate between rich and poor.

With the thought that "a good doctor must be like a mother", Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen is also very active in scientific research, struggling to find and provide many solutions and measures for treatment and patient care with quality and effectiveness.

With her contributions, in the 5 years from 2011 to 2016, Ms. Ngan Thi Xuyen was classified as a party member who completed her tasks excellently and received many certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and many other levels.

Mr. Tran Duc Luan - Farmer, Head of the Farm Club of Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City

Farmer Tran Duc Luan not only enriches himself but also helps many other farmers become rich.

As a farmer with muddy hands and feet, Mr. Tran Duc Luan studied and followed Uncle Ho's example, which was to take care of developing the family economy, helping other farmers like him to do business, contributing to enriching himself and society.

With that in mind, from his small savings, he boldly borrowed more money from the bank to invest in building barns for livestock farming, combined with aquaculture. By diligently researching, studying and learning about livestock farming techniques from books, newspapers, the internet and practical livestock farming models, Mr. Tran Duc Luan has successfully raised egg-laying chickens and specialized fish, bringing in an income of 200 - 300 million VND/year.

From his business experience, Mr. Tran Duc Luan is not afraid to share his experience with farmers like him. He established a farm group of 29 participating households to support each other in production and product consumption. At the same time, he is the leader of establishing a credit and savings group among livestock households to provide a source of interest-free loans for farmers to build livestock models.

From this capital source, along with comprehensive support in methods, techniques, and outlets, 15 integrated livestock farms have been established. He personally supported 2 families to develop chicken farms with a scale of 2,500 - 3,000 laying hens. Every year, he supports 3 - 5 million VND to support the cultural, physical education and sports movement of Yen Due block. Mr. Tran Duc Luan became a typical example in the patriotic emulation movement of Nghe An province, period 2010 - 2015, and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
