Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society launches humanitarian month 2025
On April 15, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Anh Son District Red Cross Society to organize the launching ceremony of the 2025 humanitarian month. Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society; sponsors; leaders of the People's Committee and departments of Anh Son District and the Red Cross Societies of 20 districts, cities and towns.

Before the launching ceremony, delegates offered flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.
The launching ceremony of the 2025 humanitarian month "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" was carried out by the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross with many activities in Anh Son district. At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded a plaque of recognition for the golden hearts to sponsors, organizations and kind-hearted individuals who accompanied and shared with families in difficult circumstances and families with meritorious services to the revolution in Anh Son district.
The program awarded plaques to support the construction of 4 Red Cross houses for families in difficult circumstances, including 2 houses from the funding of the Anh Son District Red Cross Society for Mr. Nguyen Van Ha in Residential Group 1, Kim Nhan Town and Mrs. Le Thi Hoang in Village 3, Lang Son Commune; 2 houses from the funding of emulation units in the whole province for Mrs. Dang Thi Vinh in Village 2, Duc Son Commune and Mrs. Le Thi Hoa in Village 9, Cao Son Commune.

On this occasion, the Red Cross Society of Do Luong district presented a model of Border Medicine Cabinet worth 11 million VND to Phuc Son Border Guard Station. This is a program that the Red Cross Society and the Women's Union of Anh Son district have jointly implemented for the past 4 years. The model has a humanistic meaning, contributing to the health care of people in 4 border villages of Phuc Son commune. Tan Dieu Zen Monastery presented 100 gifts and 7 wheelchairs to families with revolutionary contributions; the Humanitarian Club of Group 19, Phuc Loi Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi City presented 30 gifts to women in the Cao Veu border area.

After the launching ceremony, delegates participated in meaningful activities within the program series such as: Starting the construction of a Red Cross house at Mrs. Dang Thi Vinh's family in Village 2, Duc Son Commune; donating nearly 100 nutritious meals to children of Phuc Son Primary School; Donating candy and clothes to Tra Lan Kindergarten; organizing free medical examinations and medicine distribution for 200 people in Cao Veu Village. The total value of the program is nearly 500 million VND.
The launching ceremony of the 2025 Humanitarian Month is a series of meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8. "Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love" is the message of this year's Humanitarian Month and is a bridge connecting the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society and philanthropists, clearly demonstrating the tradition of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of our nation and clearly demonstrating the role of an active and responsible member, helping the poor and people in difficult circumstances to rise up in life.
