The Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi provided funding for house construction and distributed 60 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to the poor.

In Son Lam commune, the delegation presented 70 million VND to a poor household for house construction and distributed 60 gift packages to poor people to celebrate Tet.

In response to the appeal letter dated December 31, 2025, from the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee regarding support and assistance for the poor, those in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, on January 29, 2026, the Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi, in coordination with the Lam Hong Young Intellectuals and Entrepreneurs Club, the Nghe Tinh Folk Song Club in Hanoi, and the Tho Minh Agricultural Cooperative, organized a program to distribute Tet gifts to the poor in Son Lam commune.

The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Tran Van Le - Chairman and General Director of Phuong Linh Electromechanical Group, and Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi. The delegation included Mr. Tran Dinh Thai - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Lam Hong Young Intellectuals and Entrepreneurs Club; Ms. Phan Thi Ha - representative of the Nghe An Hometown Association Office in Hanoi; and representatives from partner organizations.

During the program, the delegation provided financial support of 70 million VND to build a house for Mr. Luong Van Thien's family, residing in Tan Ngoc village, Son Lam commune. This is a household facing particularly difficult housing circumstances.

Here, the delegation also presented 60 Tet gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to 40 poor households and 20 students with particularly difficult circumstances in the commune. The Association's concern contributed to helping these families celebrate the traditional Tet holiday in a warmer and more fulfilling atmosphere.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Professor Tran Van Le affirmed: “This program has profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the people of Nghe An who are living, studying, and working in Hanoi towards their homeland. We hope that through these practical actions, we will contribute to helping the local community care for the lives of the poor and vulnerable, especially during the upcoming Tet holiday.”

On behalf of the Party Committee, the local government, and the people, Mr. Tran Dinh Tam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Son Lam commune, expressed gratitude for the attention and support of the Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi and other partner organizations. He affirmed that these meaningful gifts not only help alleviate immediate difficulties for the people but also serve as a great source of encouragement, contributing to strengthening their confidence and motivating them to strive for a better life.
