The Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning awarded scholarships to Catholic students in Yen Thanh district on the occasion of Christmas.
This is a meaningful gift for students on the occasion of Christmas 2024, motivating them to strive and excel in their studies.
On the morning of December 19th, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning organized a scholarship awarding ceremony for students from Catholic families attending schools in Yen Thanh district.
Provincial Association for the Promotion of LearningTwenty scholarships were awarded to students of Hop Thanh Primary and Secondary School. The school currently has two levels of education with 33 classes and over 1,100 students, of which approximately 30% are children of Catholic families.
Over the years, overcoming difficulties, the school has achieved many accomplishments in education, with hundreds of students winning awards in academic competitions at all levels, including many Catholic students.

At the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, introduced the Nghe An Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is for disadvantaged students who have made great efforts and achieved many accomplishments in their studies and training. Currently, each year, the Scholarship Fund at all levels awards thousands of scholarships, worth over 100 billion VND, to students throughout the province. The aim is to provide timely encouragement and support, helping them overcome difficulties to become good children and excellent students, contributing to the promotion of learning and talent in schools and localities.

To celebrate Christmas 2024 and in response to the Nghe An Provincial Education Promotion Festival this year, the Provincial Education Promotion Association is awarding numerous scholarships to children of Catholic families studying in schools, each worth 500,000 VND.
At the award ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning also highly appreciated the efforts and endeavors of the staff of Hop Thanh Primary and Secondary School. Despite being located in a unique area and simultaneously performing two professional tasks for two different educational levels, the school has successfully implemented the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning. Building on this fine tradition, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien hoped that the school staff would continue to strive to build a friendly and positive educational environment, becoming a reputable educational institution for children in the area.

On this occasion, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning also awarded 40 scholarships to students from Catholic families at Yen Thanh 3 High School. Although the school is only 24 years old this year, it has experienced remarkable development in both quantity and quality.
In particular, during the past academic year, despite being located in a disadvantaged area of Yen Thanh district with low entrance requirements, the school had a successful high school graduation exam, with a 100% pass rate and a 10-rank improvement in its overall ranking. Among the students, 22 achieved scores of 27 or higher, and two students from the Natural Sciences group were commended by the Provincial People's Committee. The school consistently prioritizes disadvantaged students, excelling in its scholarship program, allocating over 200 million VND annually to support poor and academically gifted students.

With the aim of building a movement to promote learning and talent, fostering learning families, learning clans, and learning schools, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning will continue to work alongside schools and students in the coming time. Through this, it will provide timely support and encouragement to students to excel in their studies and spread the spirit of learning to schools and communities where they live.
