The Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presents gifts to victims in Nghe An.
On the morning of January 23rd, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh – Chairman of the Central Committee, held a working meeting with the Nghe An Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Attending the activities was Comrade Nguyen Van De – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.
In 2025, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Nghe An province mobilized more than 4.4 billion VND to care for and support victims through many practical activities such as house repairs, livelihood support, medical examinations and treatment, gift giving, and transportation assistance.
Following the implementation of a two-tiered local government system, the province now has 130 commune and ward administrative units, of which 108 communes and wards meet the criteria for establishing an Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Nghe An province and the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the victims. He requested that Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the association to successfully fulfill its nhiệm vụ, promote the mobilization of social resources, and support the struggle for justice for Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Nguyen Van De, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed gratitude for the attention and support of the Central Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam. He affirmed that in recent years, Nghe An province has paid attention to leading and directing the serious implementation of the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, especially Directive No. 43 of the Party Central Committee, and decrees and decisions related to the organization and operation of mass organizations and policies for people affected by chemical toxins.
Nghe An province is creating favorable conditions for associations at all levels to operate and play a core role in mobilizing support, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of victims. In 2026, Nghe An province will continue to direct departments, agencies, and localities to coordinate in strengthening the organization of associations, ensuring effective operation and meeting practical requirements. The recommendations of the Provincial Association and the Provincial People's Committee will be fully considered, studied, and coordinated with competent authorities to address them in accordance with regulations.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin directly presented 41 gifts, each worth 1.2 million VND, to 41 victims; the remaining 9 gifts were authorized to be distributed to the Nghe An Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
