Meeting of 130 Chairpersons of the Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards.

On the morning of March 31, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting with 130 Chairpersons of the Fatherland Front Committees at the commune and ward levels to evaluate the work of the first quarter and implement key tasks for the second quarter of 2026.

The conference dedicated time to reviewing the work of the first quarter of 2026, with a strong focus on propaganda; the main focus being the dissemination of the spirit and results of the 14th Party Congress; and the promotion of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

The Fatherland Front at all levels also actively participates in election procedures; from consultation work to organizing conferences to gather opinions on the candidates' trustworthiness from voters in their residential areas, and voter outreach meetings to campaign for the candidates.

The Fatherland Front at all levels organized 4,149 meetings with voters for candidates running for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Fatherland Front at all levels also proactively inspected and supervised election preparations, promptly providing guidance on many specific issues, contributing to ensuring that the election took place in accordance with regulations, democratically and safely, with a voter turnout rate of 99.86%.

Campaigns and emulation movements continued to be widely implemented, especially the "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" campaign. In the first quarter, people voluntarily donated more than 2,000 m² of land to expand roads; upgraded and built nearly 25 km of rural roads…

Through the "Lam River Compassion - Spring 2026" program, the province mobilized over 171 billion VND to care for the poor and vulnerable during the Lunar New Year.

Ethnic and religious affairs and people-to-people diplomacy continued to be promoted, especially coordinated efforts to build a peaceful and friendly Vietnam-Laos border; strengthening exchanges and sister-city relationships between border localities, contributing to consolidating international solidarity and traditional friendship.

In the first quarter, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province issued the 2026 work program, developed an action plan to implement the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

The work of consolidating the organizational structure has been implemented synchronously; advice has been given on arranging and streamlining mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and the State; and the leadership personnel of the Fatherland Front have been consolidated to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period.

Besides the achievements, at the conference, officials of the Fatherland Front in communes and wards also reflected on and proposed a number of issues related to strengthening the Fatherland Front staff at the commune level; recruiting and utilizing non-specialized commune-level staff into civil service positions or assigning them to work in hamlets, villages, and communities; supporting infrastructure, especially terminal equipment, to ensure that grassroots Fatherland Fronts effectively implement digital transformation tasks; and organizing training and skill development for Fatherland Front work.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province - acknowledged the opinions and proposals from the grassroots level and will recommend solutions to the relevant authorities.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province emphasized the need for the Fatherland Front committees in communes and wards to continue innovating the content and methods of their activities, promoting digital transformation in Front activities; promoting the core role in building the great national unity bloc; effectively acting as a "bridge" between the people and the Party committees and government, and between the Party committees and government and the people, creating high unity and consensus throughout society to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and the emulation movements and campaigns led by the Fatherland Front.

Social monitoring and criticism activities need to continue to be implemented systematically, with a focus on key areas. Continued attention should be paid to social welfare, mobilizing social resources to improve housing for the poor and disadvantaged households, coupled with support for livelihood models, helping these households to improve their lives.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province also noted: Local authorities should proactively choose appropriate content and forms of implementation for the provincial funding allocated to support livelihood model development, ensuring efficient use of capital.
