The Nghe An Journalists Association organized a journey to the roots and pay tribute in the war-torn land of Quang Tri.
As part of the activities commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (1925-2025), on November 14-15, a delegation from the Nghe An Journalists Association, led by Comrade Tran Minh Ngoc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television, and Chairman of the Nghe An Journalists Association, organized a pilgrimage to the historical site, offering incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and presenting gifts to express gratitude to the families of wounded soldiers and martyrs.
Quang Tri Ancient Citadel – a heroic land that has gone down in national history with 81 days and nights of tenacious fighting during the fiery summer of 1972 – is a shining symbol of revolutionary heroism.
The 81-day and 81-night battle of the Citadel played a crucial role in the outcome of the 1973 Paris Agreement negotiations, paving the way for the 1975 victory, liberating the South and unifying the country.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs. Before the spirits of these outstanding sons and daughters who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the delegation pledged to continue the tradition, strive to fulfill their assigned political tasks well, and live up to the sacrifices of previous generations.
Next, the delegation also visited the Le Duẩn Memorial Area in Triệu Phong commune, Quảng Trị province.

In this act of gratitude, the Nghe An Journalists Association, in coordination with Hoang Gia Phat Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, presented gifts worth 25 million VND to 25 families of war invalids and martyrs facing difficult circumstances in Hieu Giang commune, Quang Tri province. This activity demonstrates the principle of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "repaying gratitude" of the Journalists Association and journalists in Nghe An province.

The program on revolutionary roots not only recalls revolutionary traditions and pays tribute to heroic martyrs, but also spreads the spirit of compassion and social responsibility of journalists, while strengthening the bond and connection between the Nghe An Journalists Association and the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association.
