The Provincial Farmers' Association needs to replicate effective economic models.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 6th, the Provincial People's Committee, in coordination with the Provincial Farmers' Association, held a conference to review the results of the cooperation program in 2016.

In 2016, the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, agencies, districts, cities, and towns to coordinate with the Farmers' Association at all levels to effectively implement the cooperation program, such as mobilizing people to implement land consolidation and exchange policies, accumulating farmland, and building new rural areas.

The Provincial People's Committee and local authorities have allocated over 5.7 billion VND to the District Farmers' Support Fund to manage, implement, and replicate effective economic models. During the year, hundreds of economic models were developed and replicated, and dozens of training courses were organized, including professional development, technology transfer, and vocational training for members of the Farmers' Association.

Despite the successes, coordination between departments and agencies and the Farmers' Association remains inconsistent, especially in the dissemination of information and policies related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. The signing of cooperation programs has sometimes lacked substance and remains largely 형식적인 (formalistic).

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested that all levels of government and the Provincial Farmers' Association continue to effectively implement the contents signed between the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Farmers' Association; focus on building and replicating effective economic models; effectively implement agricultural restructuring associated with building new rural areas; and coordinate well in monitoring the use of veterinary drugs and plant protection products to ensure food safety and hygiene.
