Provincial Farmers' Association needs to replicate effective economic models

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 6, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Farmers' Association to organize a conference to review the 2016 cooperation program.

In 2016, the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, branches, districts, cities and towns to coordinate with Farmers' Associations at all levels to effectively implement coordination programs, such as mobilizing people to implement the policy of land consolidation, land accumulation and new rural construction.

The Provincial People's Committee and localities have allocated more than VND 5.7 billion to the District Farmers Support Fund to manage, implement, build and replicate effective economic models. During the year, hundreds of economic models were built and replicated, dozens of training courses were organized, professional training and technology transfer, and vocational training for members of the Farmers' Association.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong highly appreciated the achievements of the Provincial Farmers' Association.

Besides the successes, the coordination between departments and branches with the Farmers' Association is still not smooth, especially in the dissemination and popularization of mechanisms and policies related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers. The signing of coordination programs is sometimes not substantial and is still a formality.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong requested all levels and the Provincial Farmers' Association to continue to effectively implement the contents signed between the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Farmers' Association; Focus on building and replicating effective economic models; Effectively restructure agriculture in association with new rural construction; Coordinate well in monitoring the use of veterinary drugs, plant protection drugs, and ensuring food hygiene and safety./.
