In the fast-paced and stressful modern life, preserving family happiness has become more important than ever. Through practical movements, campaigns, and models, the Women's Union of Nghe An province is persistently working alongside its members and women to cultivate peaceful homes; thereby spreading this strength to build a humane and sustainable community.

In Tan Son hamlet (Quang Dong commune), simple changes such as tidy houses, proper waste disposal, and sharing among family members are contributing to the spread of civilized family values. However, the initial implementation of the pilot model "Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" faced difficulties due to unstable economic conditions and the ingrained habits of the people. In response to this, Women's Union officials persistently visited each household, listening to concerns and resolving issues at the grassroots level.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh, Head of the Women's Association in Tan Son hamlet, believes that for people to trust and follow the initiative, the Association's officials must first set an example. Her family is one of the pioneering households, from maintaining environmental hygiene and building a civilized lifestyle to developing the family economy. This exemplary behavior has created strong persuasive power and spread widely throughout the community. From just a few participating households initially, the movement has gradually expanded.

More importantly, people realize that preserving the environment is not only about beautifying the countryside, but first and foremost about the health and quality of life of their own families. Ms. Nguyen Thi Vien, a member participating in the model, shared: “Since implementing the criteria, the whole family has been cleaning the house together, sorting waste, taking care of the garden, and reminding the children to maintain hygiene. The children are more conscious in their daily lives, husband and wife share more with each other, and everyone cares more about each other. With a clean house and a healthy environment, our family is the first to benefit.”
The story in Tan Son illustrates the vitality of the "Building a Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" campaign, which the Women's Union of Nghe An province has persistently implemented for many years. Beyond aiming to create a green, clean, and beautiful living environment, the campaign focuses on core issues for each family, such as poverty reduction, prevention of domestic violence, childcare, building a civilized lifestyle, and improving the quality of life. Starting with the most familiar actions in daily life has helped the campaign become more effective and create lasting changes.

After 15 years of implementation, the campaign has become one of the outstanding achievements of the Association in the province. More than 10,300 member families have been supported in meeting the criteria of the campaign; hundreds of innovative models and approaches have been developed and replicated, contributing to building more and more prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized homes.

Recognizing that family happiness cannot be sustainable without a stable economic foundation, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented numerous activities to support livelihoods, create jobs, and help members develop production and increase income. Accordingly, hundreds of thousands of women have received support for economic development, access to loans, vocational training, and job creation. More than 212,000 poor and near-poor women's households have been assisted; over 21,500 households have risen out of poverty. Thousands of "Houses of Love" have been built and renovated, providing stable housing for members in difficult circumstances.
Alongside this, tens of thousands of communication campaigns have been conducted on skills for building happy families, gender equality, preventing domestic violence, reproductive health care, and child education. From branch meetings and small forums in residential areas to large-scale training programs, the Association has gradually equipped women and families with the necessary knowledge to maintain happiness in modern life.

While in the past, family difficulties largely stemmed from economic conditions, today, many new challenges are emerging. The fast pace of modern life means less and less time spent with family. Work pressure, labor migration, and the impact of digital technology and social media are profoundly changing family relationships. Many people still live under the same roof but lack genuine connection. The generation gap is widening. Seemingly minor conflicts sometimes become the cause of family breakdown.

This reality necessitates that women's associations at all levels continuously innovate their content and methods of operation to adapt to the new challenges of family life. One notable recent initiative is the "Men Leading the Way in Building Happy Families" model implemented by the Giai Xuan Commune Women's Union. This demonstrates a very new approach to family work. A sustainable home requires responsibility and sharing from all members, especially the men in the family. Based on this understanding, the first 30 members participating in the model were equipped with knowledge about gender equality, family behavior skills, prevention of domestic violence, and the responsibilities of husbands and fathers in modern life.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Trung, President of the Women's Union of Giai Xuan commune, the goal of the model is not only to raise awareness among men but also to build positive role models in the community. Each member will become a propagandist, spreading the message of love, responsibility, and sharing within the family. This message stems from a very simple reality: when men know how to listen, share household chores, care for children together, and respect their partners, the family will become a more peaceful place for all members.
Driven by this practical need, many new models continue to emerge at the grassroots level. In Xao Va village, Chieu Luu commune, the "Happy Family" Club was established with the participation of 15 Khmu couples. The club's space serves not only as a place to exchange experiences in building families but also as a place for members to share life's difficulties, learn how to resolve conflicts, raise children, and preserve their ethnic cultural identity. In a mountainous area still facing many challenges, the establishment of the club carries the hope of building families free from violence, law violations, and where people know how to cultivate happiness together. This is also a way to preserve traditional values in a rapidly changing society.

From models like "Responsible Men," "Mothers and Daughters," and "Exemplary Grandparents - Filial Children and Grandchildren," to nearly 900 clubs and family models operating throughout the province, a common thread in the approach of the Nghe An Women's Union is always starting from the practical issues of life. This is what helps the Union not only launch movements but also truly become a companion for women and families. When a mother needs knowledge about raising children, when a young couple needs skills to build happiness, when a family facing difficulties needs a place to share and receive support, they can all find companionship from the Union's models and clubs.

The family is the foundation of society. Therefore, the journey of building a happy family is not just a story for each individual family, but a shared responsibility of the entire society. On this journey, the Women's Union of Nghe An province is quietly connecting love and nurturing the beautiful values of Vietnamese families through concrete, persistent, and humane actions. From this, each home that keeps the flame alive today will become a solid foundation for tomorrow, a place where children and grandchildren will always remember and where future generations will continue the fine traditions of the Vietnamese nation.
