On the afternoon of May 18, in Vinh city, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized a national scientific conference: "President Ho Chi Minh - A noble symbol of the will and aspiration for national independence, freedom and happiness for the people".

In his opening speech and introduction to the workshop, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized: Celebrating the 135th birthday of the great President Ho Chi Minh, together with the whole country remembering and expressing gratitude for his great contributions, today's workshop is a meaningful event, an opportunity to continue to honor and deeply imbue Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style - the invaluable heritage of the Vietnamese people and revolution in the cause of building, developing the country and defending the Fatherland.

With that spirit, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that delegates and scientists focus on discussing and deepening some contents: Continue to apply and creatively develop Ho Chi Minh's thought of joining hands, unanimity, taking advantage of all opportunities and advantages, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, determined to successfully achieve the goal of Vietnam becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030; becoming a high-income developed country with socialist orientation by 2045; realizing the aspiration of building a peaceful, unified, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, more dignified, more beautiful, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as Uncle Ho's sacred wish during his lifetime.

At the same time, deeply imbue and creatively develop Ho Chi Minh's thought that the people are the root, the people are the center, the subject of the revolutionary cause; at the same time, apply and creatively develop Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style to build our Party to be truly clean, strong, truly moral and civilized, continue to strongly innovate leadership methods, improve the Party's governing capacity; educate and train a contingent of cadres and Party members who are both red and professional, "diligent, frugal, honest, upright, impartial and selfless"; enhance revolutionary morality, wipe out individualism, continue to write the golden pages of the 100-year history of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution, so that our Party will always be worthy of being the leader, the truly loyal servant of the people as he instructed.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented a speech with the topic: "President Ho Chi Minh's will and aspiration for national independence and national unification - historical value and contemporary significance".

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee presented a speech on the topic of Ho Chi Minh's thought on socialist industrialization associated with building an independent and self-reliant economy and the creative application and development of our Party in building industries.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union presented a speech on the topic of nurturing and promoting the role of the young generation according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology in realizing the aspiration to develop the country.

From her hometown Nam Dan, on behalf of the district leaders, comrade Tran Thi Hien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nam Dan district presented a speech: Nam Dan implements President Ho Chi Minh's advice, builds a model hometown, and steadily steps into the new era.
