On the morning of May 11, in Vinh city, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports organized a Scientific Workshop on Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument - Orientation to promote the value of Ho Chi Minh cultural heritage.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Department of Culture and Sports and related departments, agencies and units.
Delegates who are scientists include: Prof. Dr. Hoang Chi Bao - senior expert, former member of the Central Theoretical Council; Dr. Le Doan Hop - former Minister of Information and Communications, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Ho Xuan Hung - former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and researchers from across the country.
The source of spreading the value of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage
The Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Statue project started construction on May 19, 2000, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. Completing the project was a whole process of dedication from the Politburo, managers, culturalists, sculptors and people from all walks of life across the country, from coming up with ideas, choosing locations, sketching designs to the construction process.
After 3 years of urgent work, with the highest efforts and determination, all the main construction items in Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument were basically completed and put into use from May 18, 2003. The most majestic highlight in the Square is the 12m high Uncle Ho Monument leaning against Chung Mountain, modeled after Chung Mountain in Kim Lien Commune (Nam Dan) - a National Historical - Cultural Relic associated with Uncle Ho's childhood memories.

Over the past twenty years, Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Statue in the heart of the “Red City” have gradually affirmed their role and importance in the minds of the people of Nghe An. The project has actively contributed to the propaganda and education of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, the education of patriotism and revolutionary traditions for all generations, especially the young generation, and the preservation and promotion of the value of Ho Chi Minh’s Cultural Heritage in his homeland.

Every year, this place welcomes hundreds of delegations of leaders of the Party, State, central departments, ministries, branches, provinces and cities, and millions of people and domestic and international tourists coming to offer flowers and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.

With a convenient location, large area, airy space, suitable design of items, Ho Chi Minh Square is a cultural - political project with many roles and functions: it is both a place to organize cultural - political activities of the province and city; a place for entertainment, recreation, and community activities of the people, and a meaningful address and destination for tourists when making a pilgrimage to visit Uncle Ho's hometown.

From the meaning and stature of the project, the Workshop "Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Statue - Orientation to promote the value of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage" aims to affirm the value and stature of Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Statue in the 20-year journey of formation and development. At the same time, evaluate the practice of 20 years of preserving and promoting Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage associated with the Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Statue.

This is also a forum for Nghe An province to have the opportunity to consult scientists and managers, propose ideas and feasible and effective solutions to preserve and promote the value of the project, associated with the preservation and promotion of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage in the socio-economic development orientation of the province and the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the current period.

The workshop recorded 8 presentations and dozens of valuable and dedicated opinions from delegates. The content revolved around issues related to Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage - values that last with the nation and the times; The formation process, role and status of 20 years of promoting the value of Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument; Orientation and solutions to promote the value of Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument with the dissemination of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage.
Efforts to promote the value of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage in the new situation
Concluding the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long acknowledged the efforts of the Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh Square Management Board in spreading the value of the project to the people, tourists and international friends, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Heritage.
From the enthusiastic, valuable and quality opinions at the workshop, he noted 5 basic orientations and solutions for Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument to promote their value more effectively in the future.
Firstly, need to consider human factor as the most important factor. From there, improve the service quality of the staff, civil servants, and workers. In addition to expertise, it is necessary to focus on foreign language and technology skills. Pay attention to exploiting human resources from the community, building a team of collaborators.

Monday,It is necessary to continue to deploy and improve the quality of exhibitions, programs, political, cultural and artistic events at the Square to spread values. Importantly, it is necessary to apply digital transformation in exhibition activities and displays.
Tuesday,must promote tourism activities, diversify tourism services and products; promote communication, promotion and branding for Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument.
Wednesday,Diversify forms of education, organize experiential education programs for people, focusing on students.
