Building and developing people and culture of Nghe An

Presenting the introductory report, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Tri Dung - Vice ChairmanAssociation of Literature and ArtsNghe An stated: Nghe An is a large province in the North Central region, this is not only the border land of Vietnam in the resistance wars against invaders but also an ancient land rich in cultural, literary and artistic traditions. Since the Middle Ages, there have been many famous people and scholars of literature and poetry such as Phan Thuc Truc, Ho Sy Duong, Pham Nguyen Du, Ho Xuan Huong...

This is also the hometown of the national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure Ho Chi Minh; patriot, poet of "stormy poems" Phan Boi Chau. In modern times, many outstanding writers, poets, and artists have also appeared such as Dang Thai Mai, Hoai Thanh, Hoang Trung Thong, Minh Hue, Tran Huu Thung, Nguyen Minh Chau, Le Van Mien, Nguyen Tai Tue, An Thuyen, Nguyen Trong Tao...

In the process of building and developing Nghe An into a prosperous province of the country, the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Nghe An always pay attention to building culture and people, promoting the good aspects in the qualities of the people.Nghe An people, meeting the sustainable development requirements of the homeland and country.

Implementing the direction of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Nghe An province on organizing activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification, the Provincial Literature and Art Association has developed a plan to organize the scientific conference "Nghe An Literature and Art 1975-2025: Achievements and issues raised".

The workshop gathered 32 presentations focusing on two main contents:The first,Survey and evaluate the characteristics, achievements and contributions of half a century of Nghe An literature and art since 1975 to the literature and art of the whole country, especially to the homeland, to the cause of innovation, to the building and development of Nghe An people and culture.Monday,delve into the stylistic characteristics, unique features, and contributions of some authors to Nghe An's literature and arts. In addition to articles on literature, some papers look back and evaluate the success and contributions of many art fields in Nghe An in the 50 years since 1975 such as: Theater, Fine Arts, Music, Photography...

Many challenges in the new era

In her welcoming speech at the Workshop, Comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: The Workshop is an opportunity to look back and affirm the achievements and great contributions of Nghe An literature and art to the movement and development of literature and art nationwide; at the same time, also draw lessons and limitations, shortcomings, propose orientations to bring Nghe An literature and art to continue to develop in the new era, the era of national growth.

We frankly admit that, despite many successes and positive developments over the past 50 years, especially in recent years; Nghe An's literature and arts still face many challenges: the management mechanism for literature and arts is still slow to innovate, not creating a favorable environment for promoting creativity; the aging of the team and the lack of successors in many fields; the discovery and nurturing of young talents,artistsIn mountainous areas, remote areas, there are still many limitations...

At the Workshop, delegates had many comments and discussions revolving around the issues: Outstanding achievements, contributions, and trends of Nghe An literature and art in 50 years (1975-2025) in the general picture of Vietnamese literature and art; Typical authors and works of Nghe An literature and art; Theoretical and practical issues, challenges and solutions for the sustainable development of Nghe An literature and art...

Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation hoped that Nghe An artists would continue to promote their creativity, engage in real life to create valuable works, leaving their mark on the country's literary and artistic flow.

In his closing speech at the workshop, Mr. Ho Mau Thanh - Chairman of the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association affirmed: 50 years of Nghe An literature and arts after the country's reunification is a continuous flow, leaving behind many good successes; contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland, building human personality, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, affirming the achievements of the renovation policy led by the Party.

The creative force is increasingly powerful, the volume of works is massive and diverse, the art is innovative and creative, worthy of being an important part in the cause of nation building.

The Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association also pointed out some shortcomings that need to be overcome such as: There are not many great works worthy of the development trend of Nghe An people in the past 50 years; the absence of the cinema field; the art field of dance has not been exploited; mountainous literature has not really been promoted; the proportion of old members is high, the young creative team is still small and not strong; topicality still overwhelms artistic nature...
