(Baonghean.vn) - Today (May 23), along with voters nationwide, over 2 million voters in Nghe An participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term at all polling stations throughout the province.
This is a crucial political event for the country, aimed at selecting and electing representatives who will represent the will, aspirations, and right to self-governance of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

Nghe An has 5 units.electorNational Assembly representatives; 26 constituencies for provincial People's Council representatives, 216 constituencies for district-level People's Council representatives, 3,242 constituencies for commune-level People's Council representatives, and 3,416 polling areas. Of these, 207 polling areas in 4 districts: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Que Phong, and Tuong Duong, held early voting on May 21, 2021.
In Nghe An province, the number of elected representatives is 13 National Assembly representatives, 83 provincial People's Council representatives, 737 district-level People's Council representatives, and 10,993 commune-level People's Council representatives.
According to statistics from the Provincial Election Committee, the total number of voters in Nghe An is over 2.2 million, of which 42,696 voters in Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, and Con Cuong districts cast their votes early on May 21st, and the remaining voters will cast their votes today (May 23rd).
The Provincial Election Committee stated that the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term was implemented synchronously and meticulously by all levels and sectors in the province, achieving high results. Election preparations closely followed the plan and procedures according to the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels and the resolution of the National Election Council.

The Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control proactively developed plans and strategies for epidemic prevention and control, as well as voting procedures in the event of a Covid-19 outbreak.
Before election day, all polling stations were disinfected. Polling stations were equipped with handwashing and sanitizing stations, temperature checks, health declarations, and face masks for voters before they could cast their ballots.
The physical and technical conditions for election day have been fully and meticulously prepared in accordance with regulations at all polling stations.
