(Baonghean.vn) - Today (May 23), along with voters nationwide, over 2 million Nghe An voters participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term in all polling stations across the province.
This is an important political event of the country to select and elect representatives representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.

Nghe An has 5 unitselectorNational Assembly deputies; 26 provincial People's Council election units, 216 district People's Council election units, 3,242 commune People's Council election units and 3,416 constituencies. Of which, 207 constituencies of 4 districts: Ky Son, Con Cuong, Que Phong, Tuong Duong voted early on May 21, 2021.
The number of elected representatives in Nghe An is 13 National Assembly representatives, 83 provincial People's Council representatives, 737 district-level People's Council representatives and 10,993 commune-level People's Council representatives.
According to statistics from the Provincial Election Committee, the total number of voters in Nghe An is over 2.2 million, of which 42,696 voters from Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, and Con Cuong districts voted early on May 21, the remaining voters will vote today (May 23).
The Provincial Election Committee said that the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term was carried out synchronously and closely by all levels and sectors in the province, achieving high results. Election preparations were closely following the plan and procedures according to the Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels and the resolution of the National Election Council.

The Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control has proactively developed plans for disease prevention and control and voting plans when the Covid-19 epidemic occurs.
Before the election day, all polling stations were sprayed with disinfectant. All polling stations were equipped with hand washing and disinfection tables, temperature checks, health declarations, and masks for voters before they entered to vote.
Material and technical conditions for election day are fully and carefully prepared according to regulations at all polling stations.
